"Torture Exhibition" - the most common methods of torture and execution during the Middle Ages.
it's a good place to be happy for our nowadays life many methods of torture are presented, still used in the 18th century, only 230 years ago those methods had the aim to save the souls of the convicted people, for even ordinary deeds, in the name of God; actually, the prosecutors of those times despised the God ultimate creation, the man five years before French Revolution, two Romanians, leaders of an important local uprising, were killed using one the methods presented there - Horea and Closca; look at the wheel and try to think what they felt

This is a place you need to see. The capital of Dacia, it was an important spiritual center. Here you can even see the first paved road, many temple ruins and sacrificial tables.

When you go to Romania, one of the main things you want to see are their castles. We visited three of their castles, and Hunedoara Castle or also called Corvin Castle was by far the best of the three. (See my other reviews of the other two, Dracula's Castle (Bran Castle) and Peles Castle.) Welcome to Transylvania! Corvin Castle starts out wonderfully exciting with your first glimpse of the outside of this great Medieval Castle with all of the bells and whistles one would describe of it's architecture and stonework. Before you go inside, take a great picture with the Castle behind you. I just loved roaming around every space here, large and small, up and down, everywhere we looked, was an interesting adventure. It really is a great example of what you want to see when you explore a Medieval Castle. We really took some great pictures. Some of the spots are a little difficult with the lighting, but we managed anyway. Don't miss this one, you will love it.

A must see in Petrosani, right next to Cheile Banitei (check my review on that place too!). The entrance fee is cheap and worth 100% -> it is well taken care of, with some nice picture spots and the fact that a river flows through it is definitely a plus! Go for it!

Must do while in Deva! An old citadell build on a volcanic hill, which gives you a great overview on the city. Very nice rehabilitation works which struggle to introduce this objective into the great league of tourism. Interesting view, nice place for a sunset, beautiful place to go downhill with a bike.

Interesting as any museum. Dacians and Romans, many years ago, managed to have a good life. They thought, they worked. All my respect!!! But we had a guide ... we and our friends would have listened to him forever.

Hidden in the hills of Hateg county, Prislop monastery is one of the dearest places to Romanians. It is usually crowded as people come for pilgrimage to prey at the grave of Arsenie Boca who was a huge personality of the Romanian Orthodox Church. He was also an artist who painted parts of the walls of the church of Prislop monastery and other two churches in Romania (Eroilor church in Bucharest and the church in Draganescu village in Giurgiu county, nearby Bucharest). Arsenie Boca designed the plans to rebuild the garden of Prislop and coordinated the related works. He also designed and built the spire in the garden which is amazingly integrated in the natural landscape of the garden.
