Huaraz dates back to before the Incan Empire and is a great destination for travelers looking to combine cultural education with relaxation. Explore archaeological sites and the ancient stone monoliths at the Museo Regional de Ancash. Squeeze into narrow Duck Canyon or, for a challenge with a massively beautiful payoff, hike a mountain trail in Huascarán National Park.

The pickup was spot on, and the bus was comfortable. The hike is self guided so you are basically paying for the transportation. Hence I recommend taking this tour over the more expensive private tours. As for Laguna 69, it's an absolute must-do! Stunning views leading up to an even more stunning lake. It's a 14 km trek back to base. Make sure to acclimatize a day before as you are going up to 4600 masl

It is a tour with the best views of the white mountain range and the highest peaks that surround this small summit, called matteo that is part of the mountain, weed. It is done in a one day trip. ideal for people who do not have much time, but they love to summit with the best views.

love the walks and I have done it in many places of the world and one of the best experiences I had on the walk to Santa Cruz, the white mountain range is amazing and even more when the people who organize everything are professionals and who run an excellent agency As an Andean Inca, the guides are experienced, the chef makes the food very delicious and always attentive to the details so you can have a better experience. I recommend this agency.

Depart from Huaraz to Caraz the last city of Callejon de Huaylas valley and then we will take the unpaved road until the trek starts (Laguna Paron), in total about 3 hours with the final parts within the conservation area of Huascarán National Park. On the shore of Laguna Paron is the parking point of our vehicle. The trail starts along the northern shore of Laguna Parón until near the end of the lake, then we will take a path that heads towards the valley towards Artesonraju (also known as “Paramount”). In this part we will be crossing several rivers and streams to reach the path that leads to the Artesoncocha lake (4,290m). From the lake we have the opportunity to climb a little higher to get even better panoramic views of the mountains that surround us (mountains called Caraz, Artesonraju, Paria, Garcilaso, Chacraraju and Pisco). This charming place is the point for our lunch and then return along the same path to our vehicle that is waiting to take us back to Huaraz.
Inclusions: Lunch, Private transportation, All Fees and Taxes
Exclusions: Snacks, Bottled water, Breakfast
I did both the Laguna 69 and the Pastoruri glacier tour with Peru Qorianka -unforgettable experiences! Romer was very friendly and showed me all the possible hikes tours in the region. Fair prices and a good service, I'd definitely recommend the agency (and Romer and Ana's B&B, Casa de Ana)!

Great adventure. Used Johnny’s tours from Huaraz Peru. We went from rain to hail to wirlwinds eith hsil to snow. It is the smallest of the glaciars but a great adventure to climb it. It is a 3 mile climb in below zero temperatures. Dress accordingly.

The world class Santa Cruz Trek is one of the most popular in Huaraz for good reason. The multi-day trek takes trekkers through the most stunning scenery in the Cordillera Blanca including awe-inspiring mountain passes and vast plains in 3-4 days! This day trip first brings you to the town of Cahruaz for some authentic Andean ice cream and fruits. Then you will be brought to the massive Laguna Paron with breathtaking views of Artesonraju (the peak on the Paramount logo). Here you have a few options: spend more time at the lake, go canoeing, or ascend a short path to the Mirador by Laguna Artesonraju for even grander views!
Inclusions: Certified Guide
Exclusions: Breakfast, Lunch, 5 Soles community fee
I loved the tour, but I can’t recommend booking it via Andean Summit. 1) It is more expensive than booking e.g. in a hostel in Huaraz. 2) They postponed my start of the tour. For “compensation” they offered me a “discount” on another tour which turned out to be the normal price. Besides, I could negotiate a free night in their hostel (Sleep & Summit). It was the worst hostel I ever slept in (no windows, no hot water, far from the city center). 3) They told me I would not need cash. However, I had to pay 60 soles for the entrance of the park.
