Socially responsible tourist destination where visitors are introduced to the team that makes functional art out of recycled tea bags that are sent to us from far (all over the world) and near!! The tour is free, tea is available (new tea bags, we promise.)and we have a shop on site. Our heart warming story will make your day.
Wow! What a special place to visit and to buy unique souvenirs if you like. I was on a bus trip and needed to stretch my legs so I got off of my sightseeing bus near Imizamo Yethu township- when I got off the city bus a local escorted me to the Original T Bag Design showroom. When I arrived I was asked if I wanted to watch the video on the shop and it’s origins and I was also offered a cup of tea/ coffee. The video explained the project well and really left me with a good feeling about how these artisans were learning new skills and earning money to better their lives. I also met the founder Jill Heyes in store and she showed me around the studio, then to the workshop and answered all of my questions about the products, how people get involved and their projects, the designs and the skills learned. The work these artisans do is special sustainable- turning your everyday tea bag or tea labels into amazing art. The work you will see in store ranges in price, but there is something for everyone. I could have bought most things in the store. If you are on the City Sightseeing bus and need a break or want to seek Original T Bag Designs out- get off at stop 23.

An awesome craft brewery located in the Hout Bay Harbour district. Come in and have a beer, tour our brewery, and maybe get lucky and watch our brewmaster in action! We have 4 beers on tap - all made using local Hout Bay spring water: a Weiss, a Blonde Ale, a Pilsener and a Stout.
Friendly owner and staff. Great beer and great people. Great atmosphere with the brew house being open for all to see. On our first visit, the owner even took us on a tour through the brewery. I make it a point to pop in there whenever I am in the area.
