Our museum is dedicated to the brave men and women throughout our country’s history who have defended our great nation, at home and abroad. The goal of the Regional Military Museum is to commemorate their sacrifices made in behalf of all Americans – past, present, and future. Please visit our website to learn more or stop in for a visit.
We really enjoyed our visit to this regional museum. Our guide, Ben, was turning 13 the week we were there and his knowledge and enthusiasm were fantastic. Please don’t skip this site. You’ll be glad you visited this museum.

Imagine you are trapped in themed and realistic rooms. With limited time to escape, you must use logic, instinct, and critical thinking to find secret keys, solve puzzles, break codes, and uncover hidden mysteries that will ultimately lead to your escape. You think you can escape?
This is my second time coming to this escape room and my whole family enjoyed Boudreauxs camp and all the clues were very well thought out and complicated enough to challenge us and was very relatable. Also our game master Shay Griffin was very good at keeping our energy up and minds engaged during the game process. And all the employees were very sweet and easy to talk too. Cant wait to go back and do a harder one. My brother is already talking about taking his friends for Bank Heist.

A visit to this museum shows how life along the southern Louisiana coast has been shaped by cultural, industrial and ecological events.
Situated on a bayou downtown, this museum offers a lively, informative and interactive experience of Terrebonne then and now. Lots of old photos, videos, dioramas and artifacts creatively displayed. Great for kids and adults.

Southdown Plantation House is a 19th-century sugar manor house and home to the Terrebonne Museum of history, culture, and arts.Exhibits include: - Terrebonne History - Mardi Gras - Period Furniture - Sugar Cane Industry - Sen. Allen Ellender - Boehm & Doughty Porcelains - Art & Literature including painter Charles B. Gilbert.
This antibellum home is just wonderful. Our tour guide, Denise, was excellent and took into consideration that my husband has a difficult time walking, as part of the tour was on a second floor. Denise's information was so interesting and this plantation home reflects the beautiful country and stories of the deep south.

We visited the Mandalay Refuge while in Houma for Voice of the Wetlands Music Fest. The path was everything you should expect. little standing water and fair amount of gravel to minimize the "mud"..worth every step when you get to observation platform to see the great open water and the birds around it.. Allow 30 to 60 minutes for walk in and out. Some poison ivy along the path so be aware. We had some cheap boots that allowed us to walk in/out without ruining our tennis shoes. Or wear shoes you don't mind washing once done. Mosquito spray before entering..We did see a gray snake run away from us.. some kind of "racer"... cool place with great birds and trail. and it is FREE...
