The largest lake in Arkansas covers 48,300 acres.
This lake makes Lake Hamilton look downright silly. Crystal clear water, great beaches, and quartz all over! Highly recommended..

The Anthony Chapel Complex is a part of Garvan Woodland Gardens, the 210 acre botanical garden of the University of Arkansas located on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Visitors may park near the lovely glass chapel in the woods and take a short walkway to the Chapel. The Chapel is open during normal business hours, UNLESS it is rented for a private wedding or event. Visitors are not allowed in the Chapel when it is rented for a private event. The Chapel is currently a free area of Garvan Woodland Gardens. Visitors to the Gardens enter at the Welcome Center and pay admission.
Located in the woods by Garvan Woodland Gardens, the Anthony Chapel is an amazing structure of glass and wood. One of several scattered around the country, it's clear glass walls and soaring ceiling make it seem much larger.

Located in beautiful downtown Hot Springs, A Narrow Escape is the interactive puzzle adventure you and your family have been waiting for. With a maximum of eight players, your team will have sixty minutes to solve our puzzles and stop the clock.
We went with our 11 year old nephew and all three of us were fully engaged for the 58 minutes it took us to escape. The story line was creative and the few hints (only one "clue" said our host) allowed us to use the best of our team's ingenuity. We'll definitely come back.

Offers good hikes, but it can be humid.
There aren't enough good words in my vocabulary to describe what an amazing adventure we had at this state park! We hiked the entire Falls Trail loop, then went back after a rainfall to see a bit more falls action. We walked the ADA-compliant Slunger Creek Nature Trail, & watched the sunrise over the lake from our waterfront campsite. While the site was nowhere near level, & the water access was on the "wrong" side of the camper, the site location was absolutely amazing & worth any inconvenience in getting set up. We chose site 31 in Area B, & had a swimming pier over the water right at our site. The bath house was close to our site, & the facility itself was great. The Visitor Center (& camp store) is open, with a maximum of 3 people inside at a time, but the Nature Center is closed. We also went horseback riding with the separate business on premises. FABULOUS! This park was exactly what we needed to get our nature fix, relax, & re-set.

This huge forest consists of 1.7 million acres of mountainous terrain in western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
We spent a fun day at the state park here. The swimming beach by the 3 Sisters Springs is the best place for a swim. The water was clear and refreshing and there are picnic tables with grills next to the beach. The 3 Sisters Springs are a short walk from the beach. This beach is past the marina and is not nearly as crowded. There is also a pleasant hike on the Dogwood Trail of 1/2 mile. Take a dip at the beach after your hike!

Great views can be had from the observation tower atop this mountain.
Hike, bike, stroll, sit, eat, or whatever.... It's beautiful and not to be missed. There are amazing hiking trails and driving paths, wonderful open grounds, fun "watering holes", an interesting observatory/museum, and so much more!
