Take an in-depth look at the fascinating world of caves as you journey through gigantic subterranean chambers made out of limestone. After you explore the underground, try out the aerial view from our new zip-line and rappel! Don't forget our 2 level museum featuring caves.
We visited Hidden River Cave and had planned the 5-hour hiking trip in the cave. It was pure adrenaline and the hell uva trip with our guide Keith. Already in gthebeginning Keith told us he wa going to try to reach a part of the cave system even he hadn't seen before ... wow, what an adventure.
Be prepared to really crawl, climb, slide and crouch for 5 hour. You will get wet, muddy and exhausted but it's worthwhile an amazing experience. Keith knows everything about the cave an good company. The caves are amazing but be sure to briing all the equiment suggested. Helmets and headlamps will be provided, but you should bring ankle-high outdoor shoes with good grip and soome gloves.
Have fun.

At Mammoth Cave Adventures we offer a 5 line canopy zip tour, that offers 3 skybridges and an outdoor adventure for the whole family. Our lines vary from approximately 120 yards to 300 yards long, they vary in speeds, lengths and heights. We have 6 decks/platforms that differ in heights from about 20 feet to a two tier deck that reaches 44 feet tall. Our primary canopy zip tour takes you from deck to deck in the treetops on a course guided by a minimum of two certified guides for a fun and exciting adventure that will be sure to get your adrenaline pumping. Our tour time takes approximately one hour to one and a half hours. We also offer a secondary course aimed at individuals under 100 lbs, this is a 4 line course with lines that average 120 yards in length. This course also intersects with the primary course and includes a ladder climb for those younger adventure seekers. In addition to ziplines, we offer a freefall from our Drop Tower and a 1 hour horseback trail ride.
We came to Mammoth Cave Adventures close to closing time with no reservations. The crew were very accommodating and so very friendly. The crew were able to offer us a ziplining tour or horseback riding. We chose horseback riding. It was just our family of 4 and the guide. We have some experience so we got to climb rocks and trot and even run through some ponds. This was the highlight of my daughters trip as she loves horseback riding so much. The staff was amazing. Josh was our guide. Thanks Josh for an amazing trip. We will be back to check out the other activities.

Fun and interactive animal park. Many Australian animals including kangaroos, as well as other North American Animals. Cave on site, included with admission price. Fun for the whole family.
While planning our Mammoth Cave National Park visit, many online reviews noted the uniqueness of KY Down Under and it was very true. The cave tour is short but very nice. It is a beautiful cave with lots of history. We loved feeding the lorikeets, kangaroos, emu and goats. We did use a Groupon so be sure to check if a discount is available. Definitely a favorite of our time in the Mammoth Cave area.

Onyx Cave is a 30 minute tour with many formations and few stairs. Tours are led by experienced, knowledgeable guides and are appropriate for the whole family. The cave stays a cool comfortable 60 degrees year-round, a welcome break from the summer heat. Also photography is allowed on our tours, so bring your camera and capture the natural beauty of the cave.
The smaller, less expensive, places always hold the biggest and best surprises and real experiences!!! This place is a 'gem' in the middle of all the attractions. The little dude that was there when I went was a plethora of information and knowledge. Not to mention adorable. He was the same age as my youngest son and so cool! He has long hair and glasses, if anyone could tell me his name I would be so grateful! I loved this place and will be back there again one day! Unfortunately I could not do the cave tour, but there is my reason for returning. The place is not overwhelming with too much stuff and over-rated prices. It was a great find for a rock hound. Love and light and many blessings to the folks that own and manage it!!! Namaste~ Ps. the questions on here are a little vague. Parking and entrance to the rock shop is free but the tour for the cave is only $8...Mammoth Cave is $20 and up to $70, most of the stuff in the gift shops are made in China. Support local and family owned business. These folks are awesome!

I drove two hours from Berea KY to visit the dinosaur world exhibit. It was worth the visit. Next time my grandkids visit me in Kentucky, I will be sure to take them there. There is a museum with actual and simulated artifacts. There is a man made cave with a 20 minute or so movie. There is a playground, a picnic area, a sand sifting station for kids to find treasures in such as sharks teeth and other fossils, to take home, for free (3 per child). It was a great sunny day activity, with a really nice souvenir shop and friendly service. Nice restrooms painted like Jurassic World. Fun time!

This cave tour was included with our Groupon for Kentucky Down Under Zoo. It was a very nice tour, with a very knowledgeable (and patient!) guide. There are some steep steps and narrow spaces, so plan accordingly if taking this tour. Pictures are allowed, but no flash photography. Very interesting formations in the cave. Had our 9-year old granddaughter with us, and she also enjoyed it (a plus!).

We are a fun friendly family. We chat with staff, engage. That's impossible with the office staff here, not receptive or friendly. However, the cabin was perfect (minus not one knife or cutting tool, but we borrowed from another cabin) we had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Zero complaints...wonderful stay for the price. HORSEBACK RIDING ...we did this several times and paid for an hour for the 3 of us. 1st time we had 20 plus riders in our group. U sit on your horse and wait. For everyone. Off we go... The actual ride was 44 minutes first time. 2nd time much smaller group...ride was 40 minutes. Next time the whole mount, ride, and dismount was 42 minutes. Don't reach out for a tip...or even dare ask for one when I know that you know you just robbed me of $5 of ride time I paid for. There's your TIP

Have attended several of these performances. Cast is often small, but what they deliver to the audience is fantastic!! Went and saw Lomabardi last night, I am not a football fan, but enjoyed this flavorful production. If you have the chance, give this small hometown theatre, that has seasoned actors from New York, and other great name Broadway cities, a couple of hours from your vacation to sit back and enjoy. Check out their website for more upcoming shows. www.kentucky rep.org.

It is hard to find a place to have a simple civil marriage ceremony. Ralph and I are middle aged and did not need or want a fancy ceremony. This place was recommended by the Judges office in Munfordville, Ky.
The delightful thing is it is a marvelous used book store with all sorts of books, from a Julia Child cook book to a Photographic history of Kentucky.
The vows were perfect for us a delivered with kindness and humor.
We went for a wedding and are going back for books!
