Before Covid, we were regular Friday night customers at Browns. Incredible food, beers and music! Since Covid, they have been our lifeline for almost weekly take out of delicious and different weekend dinners to make us feel a little bit of the celebration of a meal “out”....great job on takeout and safety protocols. Thank you!

Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site

My friend and I actually stopped here by accident as we were looking to find the Bennington Battle Monument and it was on our way as we traveled to our VT hotels from Saratoga. There's a great little brass topographic map that helps understand the battle and geography, there are also interpretive signs and little monuments marking locations/battle units. The view is really nice, it would be a great place to picnic. There are also trails, which we did not have time for but looked nice--very woodsy. We saw some wild turkeys in a little clearing down the hill from the parking area, it also looks like they have a small visitor/interpretive center, but we didn't check that out on this trip. Definitely worth the stop if you are driving in the area and need a rest or if you are doing things related to the Battle of Saratoga history.
