This is a very nice drive in, it only shows up to PG, it has a very good food outlet, best to turn up early to get a good spot, but be prepared to wait a long time for the movie to start,

100% local honey, mead and Michigan grown wine. We have a wide selection of red and white wines along with our own estate meads. Come and sample Pure Michigan.
Have known about St. Ambrose Cellars and had the opportunity to visit over Labor Day weekend. We were visiting with our niece who was checking out the facility and amenities for a possible wedding venue. Beautiful property, spacious with several building including a tasting room, barn for inside activities like dancing and wedding ceremony, and outdoor tables and games. The gardens were in full bloom and the bee hives were active and full of honey. We sat outside under an umbrella table by the bocce ball box and enjoyed a flight of four honey based drinks. The mead beverages were light, sweet and tasty and we will definitely return for more drink and food and who knows maybe a family wedding and reception.

This national park includes a 35-mile stretch of beach on Lake Michigan for swimming plus 13 hiking trails.
As I researched from Florida what we would be able to enjoy while in Michigan I never imagined sledding down these Magnificent Dunes. Just pull up park and trek up the Dunes to sled down. The hike up was easy due to fresh powder snow from that morning. We climbed to the very top and sled down many times.

Tucked away on a wildlife sanctuary in northern Michigan is a shop built of native stones, glass, and wood. A building that brings the outdoors in and blends all nature in its structure. From the display room with its huge fireplace and natural fountain, one can watch as twelve Heidelberg presses print. We wish you could visit the home and wildlife sanctuary of World Renowned Artist Gwen Frostic, just to see the development of Gwen's single designs. Attuned to the spirit of nature, Gwen sketched flowers ~ birds ~ trees ~ grasses and other little things one finds ~ out where they grow and live ~ cut each linoleum block by hand for the notepapers ~ calendars and books to share with you the grandeur and wondrous simplicity of nature ~~~ its serenity ~~ and beauty. Gwen Frostic Block Printing and Nature Note Cards display her creativity just as well. Unique Shopping Experience!
We always stop by Gwen Frostic when we’re in the area. During our recent visit my wife stocked up on greeting cards and gifts, but I spent most of my time the way I always do -- watching the printing presses in action. It’s mesmerizing! I like it almost as much as staring into a campfire.

Lake Ann Brewing Company specializes in craft beers as well as local ciders, mead, and wine. A casual, rustic "up north" tavern. Large outdoor patio, open weather permitting. Live music on Tuesdays year-round. Music on the patio during the summer months Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays (weather permitting). Full food menu from The Stone Oven restaurant right next door. "Great beer without the pomp and circumstance". Group events are welcome. We ask you to call a week in advance to ensure we can accommodate the group.
We live on Long Lake, just next door, and when we want to avoid the hustle and bustle of downtown TC, Lake Ann is the perfect place to go. The beer is delish, the severs are genuinely friendly, and you might just get a table...MoreYou were the first to have a table in the brew house (due to the rain)! Thanks for leaving a review and the great comments on the staff.

Four-season family resort has lots to do on and off the slopes.
During the late 1970s, I was a member of the Central Michigan University Ski Club and skied at Crystal Mountain about once a week. (Heck, one very-long weekday trip there that ended at about 9:30 at night, I made 70 runs down "Loki" because the snow was so perfect that it was just too good to head for home! Really!!) But while I loved skiing at Crystal Mountain (especially since CMU Ski Club members got a big discount on their lift tickets), I never considered this ski resort to be in the same league as a place like Boyne Mountain. Well ... that was a long time ago! Today, Crystal Mountain Resort is every bit as "upscale" as Boyne Mountain ever was. When I saw the place recently, I could hardly believe my eyes! And it's truly a 4-season resort these days. I was there in early September, and the Loki Quad chairlift was operating to serve Michigan's only alpine ride, the "Crystal Coaster Alpine Slide." With two golf courses, hiking trails, mountain biking, a disc golf course, tennis courts, and a one-acre, outdoor water playground available, there's plenty to do for the entire family. Crystal Mountain has definitely entered the top tier of Michigan's resorts!

Takes a while to get out to this lighthouse but I would say it’s definitely worth the time invested. Nice beach to walk on and a great lighthouse to just stand and look at. My advice would be that you take a picnic lunch a blanket to sit on and just spend a couple hours enjoying the view of Lake Michigan

Kayaking down the Lower Platte River to Lake Michigan is one of the great attractions of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore; and the best way to do it is with the help of the Trading Post. In the busy season, it's wise to call ahead to reserve a spot on their van. Once there, you can rent single or tandem kayaks from the Trading Post or, for a small fee, they will transport your kayak to the put-in point where the Platte River goes under M-22. From there, you can paddle to the take-out point just before the river flows into Lake Michigan. For $5.00 (as of 2016), you can park your car in the township park before you go kayaking, and a Trading Post van will take you back to the put-in point. You can also call ahead of time and place your order for boxed lunches and drinks. They make the whole process simple; and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

A beautiful drive with scenic views. We went on a Friday, before the weekend rush. Imagine this will be super busy in a few weeks when the colors change.

We really enjoyed our two outings on this course. The course is hilly and wooded but not too challenging for average golfers. The greens were in perfect shape but tricky. The views were spectacular looking out at Crystal Lake, especially from the elevated 16th hole. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
