So I visited with my brother, was not able to choose that option for type of visit. I have been here before, he had not. We did the tram tour, wonderfully educational. Afterwards had lobster roll and Cuban panini at the Mango Cafe, along with pina colada milkshake and mango smoothie. Everything was excellent! Yes, in summer it will be hot, and do not expect a manicured place, but the chance to see and taste the diversity of fruits is great. They have a selection of fruits in season to sample at the store and you can try whatever is on the ground. Hog plums were delicious, as well as the jack fruit and mangos We also stopped along the road on the way back and bought some fresh lychees which were fantastic!

I love me some NASCAR! First time to Homestead and I got super lucky. Wangled a Champions Club Ticket. Chef cutting Prime Rib. Open Bar. Private Grandstand over turn one. Gonna be tough to go back to the regular grandstand after this!

Prepare yourself to be addicted to cinnamon rolls and strawberry milkshakes. Knaus Berry Farm has been around for ages and proven to have the best bakery item in town. They grow there own strawberries which are the sweetest and juicest berries you’ve ever tasted! You can also find their milkshake, coffee and ice cream stand next to the bakery. I’m the back you can opt for pick your own berries and weight for price cost. There is a chickee hit for eating your food and you can hear everything going on in the bakery. Parking is always hard as a middle school is acrosss the street making you park along the sides on the street. Get there early (about 6am) to be the first in line or you will be waiting 2-5 hours! Trust me, it’s worth the drive and your taste buds will thank you!

I booked a 1 hour private tour and it far exceeded my expectations. First off, my tour guide Amanda was so nice and incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals. You can tell she’s genuinely concerned about the animals well being and the animals love her. Well, the lemur for some reason has a grudge against her but I didn’t ask why:) The highlight for me by far was Chandlers snakes, especially the white cobra. My goodness. I had the pleasure of meeting that dude and he’s a genuine guy as well. I’m guessing this is why his snakes don’t bite him. When it was over I looked at my watch and my 1 hour private tour was over 2 hours!

I went on a Tuesday afternoon with my daughter to walk around Black Point Marina Park. I have been in that place many years ago but I didn’t know it has more than a restaurant and the actual marina. It turns out that he has a large walkway that you can use for either walk, run, or bike. I parked in one of the many places they have available for free to do so, then I walked around and enjoy the gorgeous view, and took some nice pictures of this place.

This is a fascinating, unique place with an interesting history. The tour guides are very informative and entertaining. The way Ed built the place on his own was pretty amazing - he sounded like a brilliant guy. Construction and engineering enthusiasts will really enjoy a visit. The gift shop has some interesting things, and we bought a set of books about the place so we could read some more about Ed and what he accomplished, including the research he did later in life. This place is well-worth a visit. We came down from Miami beach and spent a few hours at Safari Edventure (do the ITS tour!) and then visited Coral Castle in the afternoon. You can easily do both in one day without rushing.

Get up close and personal with thousands of alligators at this alligator farm.
We visited the alligator farm with our kids (ages 10, 10, 8.5). They loved the air boat tour, we saw alligators, iguanas, and lots of birds. Our driver made the experience fun and gave us some info on the area. We did the nature walk and checked out lots of other animals in between the air boat ride and the gator shows. The gator show and gator feeding time were educational and entertaining, Liz was our guide for the shows. The kids were able to hold a baby alligator and ask questions to Liz about the facility and alligators in general. I would highly recommend a visit, we spent about 2.5 hours there.

What a lovely park! We enjoyed the area around the Atoll, but noticed there is also a marina area & several other amenities. The view is absolutely beautiful & there were families out on the sand enjoying the lovely day. We ate at La Playa restaurant & walked all the way around the atoll beach area.
