It is a beautiful church. Built in the 1920s. It is very sad because you cannot go inside since 2012 because of structural concerns.

Located in the city center of Hokitika, the Town Clock is an iconic feature of the community. Complete with a see-through archway, a functional clock, and a bell tower with ornate metal trim, this structure is one of the most photographed in the area.

About 1.5 hours from Fox, keep an eye out for the signs or you will miss this. Sit in the sun (it does appear every now and then) and while you are having Eggs Benedict or a toasted Pannini with freshly smoked Salmon, you can watch the fish in the ponds below. Buy a tub of salmon pellets and watch the water "boil" when you scatted them into the breeding ponds below the Cafe. Definitely worth a lef strecth and the coffee and food is great too!

I have been to Hokitika many times and not paid much attention to this beautiful statue. It is located a block from the clock tower. It is dedicated to the pioneers.
