It's getting harder and harder to find natural habitats and out-of-the-way trails in the Chicago metropolitan area that haven't been overwhelmed by urban development. Poplar Creek Trail is one of those rare places. Located at Route 59 and Golf Road in northwest suburban Hoffman Estates, from I-90 to Schaumburg Road and State Road 59/Sutton Road to Barrington, it is a 9.5-mile paved loop in the Poplar Grove Forest Preserve that is ideal for bikers, walkers, joggers, hikers, inline skaters, horseback riders and kite-fliers. Lots of fresh air and scenery, ponds, forests, lakes, prairie, wetlands and woodlands. There's an abundance of wildlife, too, including deer, snakes, coyotes, hawks and red-winged black birds. No, we don't negotiate the entire 9.5-mile circuit. Walk a mile or two, relax in a picnic area, enjoy the scenery, then walk back. Enjoy it while it lasts. In a few years, it might be a shopping mall.

Great venue and fun evening out with the family. The Windy City Bulls organization does a great job of making the facility and the events family-friendly. Staff is professional, courteous and fun.

Fun place for teens try and always purchase one of the unlimited pass when possible because you more than likely will be here all day!!
