Golf training facility offers daily programs, three- and four-day golf school packages, all taught by PGA instructors.
My fiancee and I recently attended a 3-day golf school with Skip Malek. I am a ten handicap and my fiancee is a relative beginner. Skip was FANTASTIC. He was patient, practical, no-nonsense and really focused us on the very beginning on the fundamentals we needed to improve both of our games. We saw improvements in our games immediately and we continue to improve as we practice on our own. Skip used cameras and swing technology to give us another perspective. We have these videos on our phones and review them often, which is very helpful. On top of all that, Skip could not be nicer. He is down to earth, friendly and generous. He even offered to review future videos that we might send him and give us tips. We highly reccommend taking lessons with Skip - you will be very glad that you did.

The Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Pickleball Center is ranked the #1 tennis resort in the Carolinas by Tennis Magazine and is currently ranked in the top 25 in the world by Tennis Resorts Online. Featuring 21 (four courts are lighted for night play) clay tennis courts and 16 pickleball courts (all lighted for night play), the Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Pickleball center is open year round and the staff consists of the area's top pros who offer lessons and clinics to those of all ages and skill levels. Enjoy seasonal activities and the island's largest tennis pro shop at the Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Pickleball Center.
Other reviews have described how good the lessons, clinics, and round robins are. What hit me was the totality: Palmetto Dunes has everything you could want for pickleball. 24 courts, lights, top players to watch, beginner clinics, huge baskets of balls, a stocked pro shop. (You do not need to stay at Palmetto Dunes to take advantage of any of these offerings, though PD has gorgeous accommodations.) We had clinics and lessons with Jamie, Sarah Mitten, Sarah Ansboury and Noah, and loved every moment of them. Lots of 4.5 players and lots of 3.0 players so something for everyone. Using our past travels to tennis resorts as a guide, I don’t believe there is anything Palmetto Dunes needs to add. For me, it is the top pickleball center in the US. We will be back next year for sure.

Took a pickleball clinic with Mark ... I don't typically provide a review but he is a great instructor. It was informative, fun and he left me with drills which I can take home and continue long after the clinic ended. Highly recommend.

I am a self-made kundalini yoga instructor and incorporate fun breathing exercises, chanting/mantras (Sat Nam-I am the truth, Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo-I'm calling on my higher self to do my best, Wa Hey Guru-God, Sa Ta Na Ma-Birt Life Death Rebirth )and traditional kundalini yoga elements also know as Kriyas, into fun and invigorating experience. So the term Kundalini means “a spiritual energy or life force located at the base of the spine,” conceptualized as a coiled-up serpent. Sat Nam

While visiting Hilton Head last fall, I decided it was time to get back into tennis (with COVID restrictions, outdoor tennis became one of the few "safe" activities in California). I played varsity tennis in high school but was out of practice for about 15 years. After calling around, I found Van Der Meer tennis and was immediately paired up with an instructor the following day - Scott at Van Der Meer's Shipyard campus. We spent a lot of time on ground strokes, especially my forehand. That two-hour lesson totally changed my enjoyment of the game! Just a few tips on the forehand and finally I had a consistent shot. Each time I get off the court, I so appreciate the lesson from Van Der Meer tennis in Hilton Head.

I've been coming to Hilton Head for over a decade, and our children all love to play tennis. We have played at several of the island's resorts, and return the most to Sea Pines Racquet Club. The facilities are first class, as are the pros. If your teen is serious about tennis, then check out the offerings of Smith Stearns Tennis Academy which is located there at the club. I first watched Stan Smith play over 40 years ago. Since then, he has won titles worldwide and held the world's #1 ranking. The opportunity to meet, and possibly get some pointers from such a humble, great man is worth going to this club. Our one son was in a clinic and Stan walked onto the court, watched the players, and went over to several (including our son) and gave them some hints on how to improved their strokes. We've returned several times, and each time our son makes a point to say hello to Stan. Stan made an impact in our lives. Thanks, Stan.
