Even though Mother Nature had different plans, we took the tour in the cold rain. It was absolutely cool. The wolves were very active, and the two tour guides were amazing. From Cub Scout Pack 473 at Forder a Elementary School in South County, we...MoreThank you so much for visiting our center, even in the cold rain! So glad the wolves were still so peppy despite the weather and that your pack was able to enjoy it! Come out and see us again sometime!

Locally owned and operated, Balloons over the Rainbow offers hot air balloon rides in the St. Louis metro area. You make the time, we’ll make the memories!
This company is terrific. We took my 95 year old mother on this flight as part of her bucket list and she loved it. There was five of us total. They assisted her in getting into the basket and showed us all a great time....Morelfhoops, it is so fantastic to hear your mother had such a wonderful time flying high with us! Nice to know you found the inflating and deflating process so interesting too. Thanks for the great recommendation -- much appreciated! Take care, Keith

Very interesting and worthwhile. This place is doing a good job with injured birds. I spoke with one of the workers, they were going to send two baby cranes back to a preserve in a couple of weeks. I would go back to see the educational program they have.

In the early 1900s, the area that’s now Castlewood State Park was a popular retreat for partying St. Louisans. The dance clubs are gone, but the winding Meramec River and the lush valley that surrounds it remain. The park has hiking and mountain biking trails that range from those great for first-time riders to ones that even the most experienced will return to time after time. The park is considered one of the best mountain biking locations in the St. Louis area. Good fishing, broad meadows filled with wildlife, and plenty of recreational facilities make the park a favorite for people who want an adventure or just to get away.
Castlewood has really good hiking and biking trails with some great bluff overlooks. Not many "improvements" so the park is pretty much set up for hiking or river wading. It does have one playground for the kids.

This isn’t your average outing or everyday experience—Breakout is for those who would rather solve mysteries than watch someone else have all the fun. With different rooms that follow unique story-lines, you and your friends will have 60 minutes to escape your adventure of choice by cracking codes, solving puzzles and following clues. Part problem solving, part adrenaline, end-to-end fun!
The facility was modern and clean. Friendly staff provided us with a prompt start. The game we played (Casino) was enjoyed by our entire family, with everybody able to contribute with clues and ideas, including our two 13 year-olds. While we didn't need much help, there was a point where we stalled and the young lady monitoring us remotely, stepped in with just the right level of clue to get us back on track. The next time we have the family all together again, we are going back.

My grandson is five and loves horses. I recently sold my horse and my grandson was so upset. The people at Rockin J have a kiddy program for young riders. They offer safety lessors prior to the ride. This is a great place to ride.

Missouri has a wonderful network of State Parks and Conservation Lands. This Nature Center is one of the jewels of the Conservation Department. This area provides easy trails and longer more moderately challenging paved hikes. The hills provide a nice challenge during light walking. The indoor exhibits are also worth the time. Plus, I like the little library.

Epic 6 is your go-to indoor sports and recreation arena in St. Louis, featuring laser tag, ninja warrior course, laser maze, rock wall climbing, dodgeball, inflatables, and arcades. We are available for birthday parties, church and school groups, lock-ins, corporate outings and more.
My boys had a great time playing laser tag, dodge ball and the small climbing wall. We were there while they had a $15.00 per kid deal for 90 minutes unlimited games with a drink and snack included plus $5.00 voucher for video games. Was a great way to let the boys run some energy off while it was raining.
