Loved my full day Indian cookery course with Pooja, delicious lunch, plus food to take home and learnt so much about spices I'll be feeling far more confident to experiment with Indian cookery now!

Ride and Dine electric bike tours mix the Great Outdoors with the pleasure of meeting new friends and after working jup an appetite, enjoying a delicious meal of British Tapas or a Deli platter. They are guided by our cycling guides Allan and Jackie, who know all the routes through the countryside to ensure you see it at its best, whilst cycling at a leisurely pace.

Award winning Puddingstone Distillery is Hertfordshire's first gin distillery. It is the home of Campfire Gin. We produce four small batch gins in the Campfire range – London Dry, Cask Aged, Old Tom and Navy Strength plus special editions. The gin distillery shop is open on Fridays and Saturdays for a gin tasting experience and we run gin tours and events throughout the year. The distillery is in the Chilterns ANOB in the market town of Tring just outside London, near to Berkhamsted, St Albans, Aylesbury and Watford.
This locally produced gin is truly wonderful and the use of local botanicals and the partnerships with local charities and producers makes it all the more worthwhile. Summer and Christmas specials are well worth the wait, but the core range is perfect in its own right. There is a classic, London Dry, Cask Aged (great with cola!), a wonderful Old Tom, and our favourite, the Navy Strength, rich with juniper and perfect with a slice of pink grapefruit. We haven't been for a distillery tour yet, but hope too soon, I've heard very good things about them! Online ordering is efficient and easy if you're not as local and well worth trying this great selection of gins...

Learn to bake bread in an award winning baker's cottage kitchen in rural Hertfordshire. Experience handling dough - a tactile experience you can never learn from books or videos. Mixing, kneading and proving, to the incredible pride of taking your loaf, in all its golden glory, out of the oven! Take all your goodies home along with handy tips and recipes. Lunch included.
Time flew. I learnt so much. Thank goodness we were given ready printed recipes and I made a few notes. Diana is very welcoming, and energetic and full of enthusiasm for her baking and imparting and enabling others to understand the magic of bread making. The class was small, there were 4 of us around the kitchen table with our read weighed out ingredients. Diana explained every step of the way for each loaf we made. She was tireless answering questions. I now know why my bread baking was not successful when I have attempted it at home. A very lovely lunch was provided, and Diana catered for my dietary needs, I am vegan, Would I recommend this course? Definitely. Its value for money. I cant wait to start baking at home. My yoga students on their Italian retreat will get real yummy home made bread.

An award winning brewery set in the heart of the beautiful Ayot estate. With a working brewery in the back and cosy tap room out front we have something for everyone. Open every Saturday (11-5pm) and with BBQs and mini beer festivals across the Spring/Summer months. So if you're out with the dog, bikes, kids or horses... pop in for a beer or just drive over and restock the cupboards.
Beer is delicious and staff delightful. What a great place for a few pints and then walk away with a 5 pint polypin for the weekend. Highly recommend
