I visited on a wet day and it was nice to go somewhere interesting to learn more about the local area and dry out a little. I was encouraged to check in using the Serco Track & Trace app. The museum is free to visit although you can make donations by cash and also contactless. The museum has lots of different things to learn about if you are an adult or a child. I also enjoyed the Jacobean garden. The museum is very user friendly for anyone whether they are able to use steps or not. The second floor has more to explore and I was interested in the Addis collection. I never knew there were so many different toothbrushes! There is a small area to buy gifts and the staff were all friendly and welcoming.

Fab theatre with a wide range of shows, both live and current film screenings. There is a large stage and a couple of smaller rooms for more intimate shows where we have seen close up magic and comedy. Bar is also a bonus. Had many an entertaining evening here. Always clean and staff helpful and attentive.

What a lovely little place! Took my children today, in the rain, and had a blast! Kids loved the Halloween decorations and treasure hunt , feeding the animals and playing on the super muddy tyres/tubes etc! Kids were filthy with the most wonderful smiles :) ended with picking their pumpkins and then a lovely lunch x little gem of a place x not a full day out, but certainly worth going for a couple of hours x will be back in the warmer weather to enjoy a picnic
