Longpan Park

Reviewed By Enokido20 - Buffalo, United States

Rent a scooter from a local shop and then drive the East Coast and stop at Longpan park. The drive is gorgeous and longpan is a good spot to stop and have lunch and enjoy a great View overlooking the ocean. It's free with no charge. You then can continue on and there's some more beautiful stops along the way until you hit the next town. The town has several restaurants and a bridge you can walk if you get bored.

Actually there is no much to do there an old wall with 4 entrances and the wall around the town a couple of temple the food is great and cheap. The only interesting part is the bus terminal with free Wi-Fi and lovely people to give you the informations necessary to visit the all bottom end . Buy a 1 day pass NT$150 then go every where start by the green line first bus at 6.20 am go to the suspended bridge by the time you get there it will be free before 7.30 am follow the path on your left go on the beach and walk to the bunker and come back by the road try to hitchhike back to Hengchun it work or go back to the village where the bus dropped you there is some surfing guys they will give you a lift to Kenting . Because the return bus is at 4.55pm . At Hengchun take the blue line athe nd stop wherever you wanted and the next bus is every 30 minutes (102) then in the end from Kenting take the orange line (101) back to Hengchun. That is a full day

Eluanbi

Reviewed By 796esterz - Jerusalem, Israel

Eluanbi Lighthouse is a lighthouse located on Cape Eluanbi, the southernmost point of Taiwan, to the south of Hengchun in Pingtung County, Taiwan. Eluanbi Lighthouse is managed by the Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance, Taiwan. The lighthouse is built between the Pacific Ocean and the Taiwan Strait, facing toward the Luzon Strait. Thus, the lighthouse has a splendid panorama. In 1962, the lighthouse was re-built as a conical concrete building with a white cover. Today, the lighthouse is still functional and is also held as a historical monument admired by many tourists in the Kenting National Park.

Kending Street Night Market

Reviewed By JonCh33 - Singapore, Singapore

It is a night marketing along Kenting Road where both sides are lined with stalls selling food, games, and small items. Traversing the night market street and sampling the nice food is sufficient for a dinner meal. But if you are thinking of eating something nice, I suggest Lu Nan Seafood which is somewhere mid of the night market. The seafood is fresh and the price is reasonable. This place is not a tourist trap, so don't expect people hustling you to come in.

Chuhuo Special Scenic Area

Reviewed By MargaretA251 - Santa Clarita, United States

My daughter-in-law took me here on our way north from Kenting. The fire emerging from the rocks was amazing. We got there after dark. My grandson tried and tried to put out the little fires by putting rocks on them. Totally futile, but fun! I remember thinking that, if this were in the U.S., there would be a high fence around the place, park rangers, admission fees and glass walls to protect you from the fire! Fun to be able to walk right up to it, and a reminder that there's a lot going on under the surface of the earth that we often take for granted!
