We are a registered charity and operate three large canal boats from a beautifully landscaped boatyard on the Grand Union Canal just to the south of Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. Our mission is to promote well-being by providing affordable canal boat trips particularly for the disadvantaged. As well as day trips all year round, we provide very special holidays for teenagers with learning difficulties or other disadvantages. We operate without any paid employees. As volunteers, what makes us tick is the satisfaction of being able to share our passion for the waterways and canal boating with people normally excluded from this pastime

Whether you’re a beginner or expert or anything in between, we have a Lesson suitable for you. As the closest Indoor Ski Centre to London, we deliver the alpine conditions every skier and snowboarder dream of.
I had my initial ski lessons with Mollie who was wonderful, patient and friendly, I learned a lot fairly quickly... re-visited more recently to practice and failed epically, only to be saved by Greg, an instructor on the day, who again was wonderful, super patient and friendly, who helped me down the slope, gave me some pointers and kindly took me through a few trial runs to get my confidence back. Super stars all round and I can recommend the sweet potato fries and vegan breakfast as well!!

Frogmore Paper Mill is the world's oldest mechanised paper mill ... the birthplace of paper's industrial revolution. Operated by Apsley Paper Trail, a dedicated conservation and education charity, it is still a working paper mill but the emphasis is now firmly on providing a fascinating (and different) visitor experience. Our paper machines are both well over 100 years old and much of the mill is exactly as it was at the end of the 19th century, while Victoria was still on the throne. On your visit, you will be escorted around the mill by one of our volunteer guides. They will show you the machinery and explain all about the processes and the power sources that have a role in the thousand years of industrial heritage that Frogmore has witnessed. You'll find out all about the curious history of paper and papermaking as well as seeing how handmade paper is made and even have the chance to make a handmade sheet of your own. You will also learn about letterpress printing, its history and its practise and can ponder the huge impact that paper and print have had on the world that we live in today. If you are looking for a visit that offers something different from the usual fare but is still active and intriguing, then we can promise you that you will find a visit to Frogmore Paper Mill, anything but 'run of the mill'.

Took 3 children aged up to 13. Youngest at 6 had never been and was a bit scared. Halfway through game didnt want to cling to my side anymore and was off on her own. We bought the all day wrist band, total value for money. Staff were brilliant and so helpful and accomodating. I have been a few times before over last couple of years and it has always been the same experience with the staff, cant fault them. If it was a quieter time, staff came up with different options on game play. Not being from the area the only nearby parking I could find was at the NCP for over 2 hrs. As a result we had to leave when our 4hrs was up, otherwise we would have stayed longer. During our visit we saw a range of players from age 6 to a lady of 72 who I spoke to and said she had a great time. Everyone was loving it. Would go more often if we lived nearer.
