This pleasingly peculiar market town is rife with old mills and flapjack-like "upstairs-downstairs" houses. Annual festivals, theatrical productions and parades pump the locals (and tourists) with life. Don’t miss the Hardcastle Crags or hiking along the gorgeous Pennine Way, and be sure to have a stroll along the inspirational Rochdale Canal.

Based in quirky Hebden Bridge and the historic Piece Hall in Halifax we are a retail shop selling high quality games, puzzles, toys, scooters, skateboards, kites, flying toys, remote control cars, drones and other cool stuff. We have a loyal following and appeal to local and out of town visitors. Our staff are always interactive, knowledgeable and friendly. Shopping at Totally Awesome is a unique experience with many of our products open on the demonstration areas. We actively encourage you to come along and get involved. We always enjoy showing many of our unique and interesting products, many of which you won't find in a high street toy store. We're proud to be different and you won't find many stores like Totally Awesome in the UK.
Evereytime we go into this shop, we experience nothing but fantastic customer service from Lisa. She is always so helpful. Myself and my family love this shop. The range of products for children and adults is fantastic! Highly recommend this shop to anyone that is visiting Hebden Bridge. Thank you for always filling us with smiles everytime we visit! :)

This is a great place to walk your dog .It is really beautiful - a wooded area with paths leading to different parts to explore .There is a big NT car park at the entrance , once parked you are free to amble at your own pace and enjoy spotting wildlife . good day out .

I'm definitely biased living very close to Jumble Hole clough but it is one of our most frequent dog walking destinations. Miles of decent footpaths around here with the New Delight pub (good opening hours, decent food and simple camp site) only a short walk away.

The hebden bridge canal has always been a focus for leasure. Whether your headed out in the direction of Todmorden or Mytholmroyd its the perfect way of having a long chat with your partner or friend and taking in the calder valley scenery. For nearly 4 decades i have enjoyed its gentle calm and still waters for walking or cycling. As its become so popular now i would try and use the tow path during the week if you can as in season the weekends are full of fishermen trying to land the behemoth of the lives.

Visited on the afternoon of the opening of an art exhibition. Met the local Mayoress. This venue lies a little distance from the centre of Hebden Bridge. Accessed by means of a cobbled street. Well worth a visit.

Before visiting Hebden Bridge called in for a hot bowel of soup and bread roll. Met Henry a 6 month old dachshund doggie. A group of horse riders called in for a quick tipple of choice. What a good start to the day... a

Calan's will be closed from Tuesday 9th January 2018 until reopening at 12:00 noon on Wednesday 24th January 2018.
We were in Hebden Bridge for a gig at The Trades Club, staying at The White Lion and found this lovely little pub when wandering around Hebden! Had our wander around and wandered back to Calans! Hubby loved a few of the different beers and I enjoyed a couple of ciders which were very different and yummy, sloe gin was one! Very friendly and warm place, will return when next in Hebden Bridge!
