This place is like stepping back in time. Fascinating insight into the lives of early European settlers. Beautiful grounds, picnic areas, BBQs, toilets. Cheap entry, free parking. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you are visiting Sydney, it's well worth a day trip to the Hawkesbury region.

This lookout is worth the stop along the Bells Line of Road. I visited during the bushfires before this road got closed, and was surprised to find the view had not been affected, winds obviously working in my favour for this delightful view. On site amenities were handy.

Excellent and informative walk. Fascinating engineering work. We did the 9 kms circuit.Probably best done in spring. Still lots of flowers. Good to go back via St Albans for a cold drink.

Always a good place to people watch, shop, walk the dog, eat brunch or late lunch. Try the Crepe Escape for a delicious vegetarian option! The Church Bar is also notable for its veggie Mediterranean style pizza.

Hawkesbury Regional Museum is located in one of our country's oldest settlements-the third on mainland Australia after Sydney and Parramatta. It is the only publicly-run , professionally staffed museum in the Hawkesbury and, indeed, in the wider area including the Blue Mountains, Penrith, Hills and Blacktown local government areas.
A day out to visit Windsor after over 40 years and to find the Museum was the highlite of the day. Staff spent time to show us the basic layout of the exhibits and written information available. Be assured this is a very good Museum housed in a modern building and we will be back. to relax and spend more time. George H Cronulla

I stayed at the Wisemans ferry inn with my partner and baby and it was lovely. Staff gave excellent service from the minute we walked in till we left the building. The rooms & bathrooms were also very clean & well presented. I would stay again.

The Regent was built in 1935, originally for live shows and was converted around 1938 for movies...a place with a lot of charm and history.
