Loved this place. Go get lunch at Broke Da Mouth and then take the two-minute drive to Ola and spend the afternoon here. We tried almost everything on the menu. Our favorites were the vanilla porter, Hawaiian strong ale, and the white pineapple cider. Blake, our bartender, was such a fun friend to make for the day. We just sat around for 3-4 hours, read a bit, and kept having little tasters of this and that. Perfect place for low-key drinks.

We took a 10:30 tour of the brewery in Kona - shout-out to our tour guide Brian, who was interesting and fun. We took part in a generous tasting of four of their beers. The timing was such that we stayed there for lunch, having pizza and beer as per Brian’s recommendation. I had the Captain Cook’s and my husband had the Margherita. It was great! We sat outside to eat on a beautiful day. Another day in paradise.

We never pass up a chance to go to local breweries while on vacation. Hawaii Beerworks was the first one we hit in Oahu. Not too many have food but this one does. There is no designated parking, just what you find on the street. A quarter gets you 10 or 15 minutes, so have lots of quarters in Honolulu. Spouse waited in car outside while I ran into brewery to get change! We each chose a flight of 4 different beers. I would say that they were all very tasty. Spouse liked the Pia Mahi'ai Saison. I favor IPAs so the Hop Island suited me and the Coco Weizen, too. I had their Mac and Cheese - a very healthy portion and really quite yummy. Spouse enjoyed the Pastrami Reuben. Nice friendly place.

Maui Brewing Co is Hawaii's largest craft brewery! We make handcrafted ales & lagers brewed with aloha. Swing by and check us out, enjoy a pint on the lanai.
It seemed odd to spend an hour in Hawai’i visiting a brewery but was well worth the time. Some of the standard stuff but our guide was very engaged and did an excellent job of telling Maui Brewing’s beginning and evolution. I am very impressed that they are off the grid and very committed to the environment. The outstanding beer was impressive as well. The flagship beers are excellent and we also sampled the Imperial Coconut Porter and Land of Rainbows Saison at the brewpub which is also worth the stop. Also they are very accommodating. We had tour reservations and needed to change them twice, they were very friendly and accommodating when I called to make changes.

Loved the place. We were there this weekend with our kids and friends. The beer variety is great and the recommendation for local food trucks was very welcome. We tried most of the beers (with some samplers) and loved the pineapple one specially. Highly recommend if you are in Maui to pay a visit!
