During our visit to El Limon we met an incredible person, Juan Emilio. Not only he speaks five languages well, is very polite, thoughtful, knowledgeable, he is also a very kind human being. He didn’t push anything, told us lovely stories and fun details along the way. On the way back, Juan Emilio and his beautiful 9 year old daughter ( who ran to meet him on the mountain), picked up all trash along the way (cups, bottles, bags) to keep their natural treasure (El Limon Waterfall) beautiful. True stewards of nature, taking care of their community just from the goodness of their heart, nothing else. Juan Emilio does many great tours and can show you hidden treasures of Samanta region and beyond. Contact me for his WhatsApp contact. Promise you, you won’t be disappointed

Before you go to any excursion in Punta Cana or Bahayibe check if your agency works with this boat company COSTA ROMÂNTICA (romantic coast). For me and my friends was NIGHTMARE COST, the worse excursion I have ever done in my life. In 12 hours we only spent around 2 in the island. The boat was very slow and the staff incredibly nasty and arrogant. The worse was the music, not only bad but extremely loud. Almost everybody was complaining about the absurd loud sound, but the crew was just ignoring. Was almost 3 hours to go and 3 to come back listening a very loud and poor quality sound. Costumer service and satisfaction was TOTALY ignored. It was suppose to be a relaxing Caribbean excursion, but instead was a torture. A boat terrible experience louder than a disco (and I love discos) The food in the island horrible and without higiene. And there is no Corona care at all in that place. So, AVOID any trip with this company, check before what boat company your promoter or agency travel will use and run away if it is this one. I cannot say if all the “Saona excursions” was like these, but we hated. The island is beautiful but not amazing for all this bad experience. If you really wanna visit I totaly recommend renting a private boa and bringing your own food. In the end of the day we spent money, time, patience and were totaly exposed to corona virus risks for a place and experience that was not worth it.

This is the second trip that we've done tours with Explora Eocotour. The reason we've contacted them is we loved the first tour so much and this time once again Manny did not disappoint. The tour was beautiful, super fun and interesting. We went swimming on a private wild beach, went swimming in an ancient underground cave, took a hike and had lunch cooked by a local fisherman's family. The guide has deep knowledge and love of the local area and the environment. If you are looking to see places off the beaten path this company is definitely the one to go with. Cannot wait to try out another destination with Explora Ecotour next time we visit

You’ll hear many of the sounds that marked their connection with nature: the call of cranes, the dip of crabs into the water, and the gentle lapping of waves against natural rock formations. The arches of the mangrove roots will remind you of cathedrals, and indeed, the Taínos (although they didn’t have churches) were deeply spiritual. Once you’ve set out with our guide, you’ll enjoy the rich variety of birds, reptiles, and fish of the mangroves. Next, you’ll be able to visit some of the caves that were especially important to the Taínos. They traveled from cave to cave visit wise men, take shelter from hurricanes, and as meeting points with other tribes. Once you’re in the caves, you’ll be able to appreciate the silence and the hallowed aura of the space. You’ll see some of the rock carvings, called petroglyphs, that represent their deities and spirits. Finally, you’ll be able to taste some of the same tropical fruit that Taínos gathered before you head back to the meeting point.
