Really good fun. A great mix of challenges in the room, and we needed a few clues at times but it was never too hard that it felt impossible. The room is really well thought out with some clever touches. More importantly it was the game master who made it as he genuinely cares that you're having fun and spots when you might need a nudge in the right direction. Would definitely recommend it.

This is one of my most favourite places in my town. I've been coming here for years for stunning cliff top views and costal walks. On clear days, you can see Dungeness. Beautiful in winter and summer throughout.

This is my local park and I think it is the best thing about Hastings! It is huge and varied from wild areas, ornamental flower beds, ponds -one with fishing, wild life including very cheeky squirrels, bowling greens, tennis courts and multisports hard surface area, a super cafe with outdoor seating, toilets, rare trees including champion trees, bandstand, a stream runs through it's great length and there is even a kiddies miniature railway with limited opening times sadly. Just try it when you visit Hastings, you won't be disappointed. It is a day out on it's own but I suggest not trying to see it all on one visit!

Jenny Lind Inn

Reviewed By LindyLouReading - Reading, United Kingdom

We booked the Jenny Lind for our Golden Wedding Anniversary during the Pandemic having been there during the summer with a group of friends and loved it. I told Sarah, the manager, it was a special occasion as we had intended either going abroad or at least celebrating with family and friends but alas this wasn't to be. Imagine our surprise and delight therefore when, on arrival, my bag was carried up to our room where we found our bed and room decorated with flowers, candles, petals and glitter with prosecco and glasses to celebrate. Our table in the bar later in the evening was also decorated. It made it so special for which we are so grateful. Hastings is a lovely town and we had a lovely time enjoying the local eateries including Huss and Chips from Old Time Fryer, one of the many fish restaurants, a fantastic Indian meal at Ocean Spice and probably one of the best hamburgers I've ever had from the Two Bulls Steakhouse. Hastings has some lovely walks and we both felt another trip after lockdown is a definite date. There are only 5 rooms at the Jenny Lind, but all have en suites. We had a double room with full bath with shower. There is a small fridge, hairdryer, coffee/tea making facilities with milk provided and a really comfy double bed. We opted for room only but breakfast can be included, provided by the restaurant opposite. For the 3 nights we were there, there was plenty of cupboards/wardrobe space for our clothes. All in all I would definitely recommend the Jenny Lind.

Pelham Beach

Reviewed By Andrew081 - St. Albans, United Kingdom

Pelham beach, with its large carpark, children’s play area, sand pit, volley ball court, baseball court, trampolines, three crazy golf courses, bicycle hire, funfair, amusement arcade, gelato, fish’n’chips, train ride, toilets etc. is a great destination for a family day out at the beach. The beach is made up of pebbles, but some sandy areas are exposed at low tide. Lifeguard cover is provided from 11am to 6pm from mid-July to early September. Car park charges apply during the summer months starting at £1.80 for an hour, then up to £9 for 24 hours – for most people 10 hours at £7.80 would be sufficient. Weekly tickets are available for £30. Payment by RingGo is possible, but the one time I did this I was charged an extra 20p.

The Fountain, Hastings

Reviewed By Wheatley4 - Bradford, United Kingdom

We recently holidayed in Hastings and stayed in a lovely house above the new town ..... but which was quite a walk to get to the sea front or town centre. On our first day we discovered The Fountain halfway on our long walk, a really genuine drinking house with good beer, good wine and great staff. Needless to say we ended up having a stop off here several times over our two week stay!! The place is a proper pub, and is decorated with fascinatingly weird wall art and paintings. It works to give it a great olde worlde feel with a contemporary twist. The beer was good and well looked after. Coming from Yorkshire we can be more than critical over Southern pints - my hubby and dad tested it more than a number of times and were more than happy to indulge in few more!! The staff are really friendly and chatty, and make you feel at home every visit. Stop off for a beer when in Hastings - well worth it for a good pint.
