If you like untouched beauty, this is it! Tikkar Taal is the main attraction. Apart from beautiful boating, wIth kids or for the more adventurous ones, you could spend time on the little rope bridge activity. Have food at the lakeside cafe. Do have Maggi at the poor fellows stall outside the restaurant, while still staring into the lake. Do go to the Adventure Park. Again, more rope activities and climbing adventures on very simple, but challenging bar handles etc. Very elementary, but engaging. The mosquitoes though were a nuisance there. Then, do visit the little learning centre / musuem which is 6 kms from the Tikkar Taal. Its a real surprise how well maintained and attractively done the little fort and musuem is. Cheers to Haryana Tourism for a hidden gem, just 1 to 1.5 hr from Chandigarh. Our stay at Valley Heights and Spa was great too, even though it has no spa!

Rani ka talab was nice place to visit and connected with history. It was about 400 year old lake. One old shiv temple was very near to this talab.

Visited Morni Hills in September 2018, so do read my reviews about the Hotel Mountain Quail by Haryana Tourism and I had to get this location added into TripAdvisor as it was not coming up. Anyhow, this is located just 1 minute away from the hotel and is located next to the Forest Department office in Morni and once you start walking up the steep incline one comes to the entrance of the Fort. There is a very small temple right next to the entrance, which is good. There is also parking space for vehicles. There is a historical description of how this fort came about being and who it was bestowed upon. Once you enter the gates, one would expect to see the "fort" like things, but to your astonishment - there is nothing which holds anything of a fort. Even more surprisingly, the Forest Department has created this wonderful Eco-Friendly message with 3-D models of animals, huge Copper Plated plaques telling how the humans evolved thru the ages, and what is the present scenario. The attached photos will tell you what I am speaking about. There is a small door to east - where one can go to see the awesome valley below and also the 2 sides of the fort and the tower from the outside. We were literally amazed at how well the inside has been maintained and converted into this mecca of Environment and saving the planet. Very nicely done and impeccable maintenance. Spend a lot of time there with the kids and explain what all this is for - as it is their future.
