High Cotton Music Hall

Reviewed By 502CAROLS

Really enjoyed this small music hall which as originally a cotton warehouse. Just happened to be in the Hartwell area and was looking for things to do on a Friday night and found this gem. The Ghost Town Blues Band was really, really good...first time I had ever heard of them but now listen to their music online and from their new CD "Shine." I've never seen a trombone player dance and play at the same time...what a sight..and was he good!. The small venue was perfect for this band and if I'm ever back in Harwell I'll defintely go back to the High Cotton Music Hall.

The dam and lake is a beautiful hidden gem in Georgia near the South Carolina border. I went at sunset to shoot photos and take in the scenery. Very much worth the visit with several scenic pull offs and recreational areas.

We stayed at Cateechee during the holidays. We were greeted by staff with genuine hospitality. The guest rooms were spotless, large and we had gorgeous views of the golf course. Great in-room amenities and the towels are better than a Four Seasons. The kitchen area was a great amenity. We enjoyed the first-class athletic facilities too. We will definitely stay here whenever in Hartwell. Likely the nicest accommodations in NE Georgia. We didn’t eat at Waterfall Grill this time due to holiday visits with family. Definitely have enjoyed previous meals in the beautiful dining room and look forward to enjoying dinner there next time!

We were very pleasantly surprised by this gem. Garden is beautifully laid out and well maintained. The gardeners were generous with information labels for less familiar plants. Thank You. Well Done.
