This public park will give you a list of birds to be spotted on its grounds.
I have been coming here since the mid 1990's, I admit I am biased because it brings me good old memories. I have been there twice in August and appreciated - as usual - the cleanliness and the varieties of activities available.
Aside for the lake and the nice playground (Martindale beach), we have been to the petting farm which is nice and very educational.
On our second visit my kids loved the Splash 'n Blast (fee to enter), a good alternative to the beach.
Very neat bike route.

A par 72, this challenging course plays from 5,045 yards to 7,010 yards, with the first 18 holes encircling scenic Lake Walden.
There is 27 holes here. Played 1-18. Well designed and playable course for the amateur. The holes were not tight but will challenge you to keep it in the fairway. Drift off and you can find yourself in the weeds. Often the rough will leak that way.
One hole you saw the highway, and maybe 2 more you could see the RV campground a 100 yards from the course. Otherwise, you and the course.
Note: the turn is NOT at the clubhouse. Bring a snack or call the clubhouse and they will bring food. There is a carry girl. We saw her 2 times during the round. 2 restrooms during the round and 2 port o ---.

There is something to be said about cider and donuts. There is A lot of stuff for the kids to do. They like picking their own pumpkins. We come here in the summer to pick berries also. Fun time.

i have been here a few times to sight in my guns and they are very organize here. The different distance also help with the sighting in of your guns.

Dunham Hills is the perfect place to host your wedding ceremony and reception, rehearsal dinner, bridal or baby shower and is proud to announce that we earned the "Best of Weddings 2014" with TheKnot website!
This the best maintained course I have played this year. The greens were flawless. The fairways were well manicure. No cheap or gimmicky holes. Challenging but fair. Tree lined fairways make many of the holes tight. The rolling hills make changing elevation a part of the game. I will play there again. Probably soon.

We went with 5 other couples. We had 4 samples of wine then we each bought some bottles to enjoy outside. The cheese tray was a great addition. They do have craft beer from a local brewery, too. It was a lovely evening!

We were looking for a nice afternoon spot to sit outside and have a few drinks- this was the perfect location! Beautiful courtyard with tables, umbrellas and lots of seating. Dog friendly as well! They have a few food items including a sausage platter, pretzels and popcorn. Great beers and friendly staff! Nice bar area inside as well. Highly recommend!

My friend and I like to try a different Cider Mill each year. So we drove out to Parshallvile Cider Mill. They have good size parking lot where you go for a short walk over a wooden bridge to see a lovely setting among the creek, trees and Grist Mill. The was not very long here. After a short 15 to 20 minute wait we got inside and ordered our cider and donuts. The donuts are smaller here but they are delicious. Crispy on the outside moist on the inside. They also sell pies, spreads and preserves. This is a historical site as they have a sign outside to tell the history of the place. Picnic tables, benches are available in Park like setting on the side of the building. A band was playing music when we first got there. Nice touch.
Take a relaxing step back into time by paying this Grist Mill a visit.

You don't have to be a kid to enjoy this Great Library! The second you enter this historical building with it's warm atmosphere, you are doused with nostalgia by the delightful smell of real books. (It is technology enriched for those who aren't page turners). Delightful and knowledgeable staff aren't the "uppity librarians of old". Expansive collection and a joy to turn back time within these walls. Highly recommend.
