We were just driving thru Harrison looking for coffee.....what we found was a great cup of coffee, bagels, friendly locals and a nicely designed environment with a beautiful bar top showing the 71 miles of biking trails from St Mary's to the Montana border! Madison provided the friendly service with a smile. A must stop on your highway 97 journey in Idaho.

My husband and I drove from Canada just to play this (and only this) course to start our vacation. Only 2 days in Idaho and what a beautiful track. Pictures do not do justice. Then the back 9 had maintenance on almost every hole that couldn't have cared less that you were playing. They would roar their equipment, drive by you while you were hitting and sit on the edge of the green while you approached. We waited 15 minutes on the par 3 because the guy stood in the middle of the green and watered. And watered. And watered. When I yelled at the guy on 18 to get off the green he laughed at me and smoked his cigarette and sat there 3 paces from the flag. I went to the pro shop almost raging. You know, they just couldn't have cared less. Yes ma'am, I'll be sure to pass that information forward. I've played all over North America and this is definitely the nicest track that I will tell everyone never to go back to. Honestly, it's not worth it. Which is terrible. High fives to the clubhouse restaurant and bar staff though. We were there the day before to waste time before our check in and they were fantastic. 5 stars for the restaurant staff at the club house. 5 stars for the course. 0 stars for everything else. I am a Director for a major hotel chain and I can tell you I have never been so disappointed with a level of service anywhere in years.

This little gem is in Harrison and has a great little history. The owners are friendly and really care about the service they provide. Lately, they have Taco Friday's for 50 cents! Can't beat that. They also serve Pizza.

I can't say anything about the camping areas. My husband and I were looking for a nice day use area. I found the park to be a waste of a beautiful location. The condition of the roads was horrendous, and the signage was unhelpful. We had to stop at the park headquarters for directions to the swimming area, and once we arrived there we found it to be completely jam-packed with screaming children, even though we were there on a weekday. I would not go again, and I would rather take the time to go farther north to Farrugut State Park.

Formerly Pedal Pushers. Central location in Harrison, adjacent to grocery store so easy to stock up before or after ride. Made reservations and they have a wide selection of bikes and bike sizes. Rented for 4 hours with provided plenty of time ride in both directions from Harrison. Ended ride after 5pm but owner lives near by so was owner was happy to take return of bikes after quick phone call. Bikes fully equipped including water bottle holder, luggage rack, and repair kits. If you don't want to bring own bikes this is great alternative to be able to ride Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes.

The little lake town of Harrison, ID (population 208) is a favorite stop for bike riders on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes and boaters cruising the lake in search of food and beverages. Sheppard Fruit Wines is a cute, friendly winery where you can sample and purchase pear, huckleberry and strawberry and elderberry wine. All fruit is locally sourced. Great souvenir. The winery closes in the winter, so check their website for days of operation.

My wife and I took our 9 and 12 year old grandkids out for a full day tour on Lake couer d'alene, up to St Marie's and the St Joe river, then pulled them on a tube in the lake. Wonderful boat, very clean, outstanding service. Could NOT Jane been any more wonderful. Will make this a regular happening. They also have pontoons and wave riders.

We rented a pontoon boat from Harrison Pontoons & Rentals and were very happy with the boat and with the customer service. When staying on Couer d'Alene, you need to have a boat, and if you need to rent one, this is a great place to go.
