Most people don't realize that "Civilization" ended at Southwest Point in the late 1700's. Explorers found that this was the last Armed fortress on their journey west. Just a simple reproduction of the original fort that is interesting if you're a history buff. Go ahead and check it out.

Service and food are highly rated and breakfast is highly recommended. Largest pancakes ever! Great southern food with a full line bar. BBQ Rocks!

We had stopped to visit the Rocky Top General Store in Harriman, only to find it permanently closed. Just down the street is Annie's. We were already there, so I took a look inside. There was stuff everywhere. There was caution tape around piles of stuff up to five feet high. The man working there told me that "they" buy whole households of stuff, and that as soon as one is delivered, another arrives on top of it. I was able to navigate in a limited way. I found an item of interest after moving a wheelbarrow full of handsaws. If you're a serious (and agile) picker, you could spend awhile here.

Not used by public as you would think. Not sure if it's privately owned or public property. I have seen this lake and know a few of the close residents, but never thought about "using" the lake for recreational purposes. I have been told it used to have a high diving board and was used by the public. ??? Just don't know much about it!
