Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province and one of the seven ancient capitals of China. It was described by Italian traveler Marco Polo as the finest and most luxurious city in the world. The West Lake scenic area contains over 60 cultural relic sites and several attractions of natural beauty, and a cruise on the lake is a good option to view several sites. Hangzhou is also a good place to visit a tea plantation.

Considered one of the most beautiful sights in Hangzhou, this scenic lake is sheltered on three sides by hills, with open flat land to the northeast where downtown Hangzhou is located.
I arrived in Hangzhou on November 12th with my friends. It was the first time I went to Hangzhou and it's definitely not the last time.On the morning of November 13th,we visited many scenic spots and what impressed me most was West Lake. There was antique and beautiful scenery. The Three Pools Mirroring the Moon was a wonderful sight, which made me marvel at it.At night,33 moons could be seen here!We visited the Leifeng Pagoda and listened to the guide tell us the stories about it.We learned about ancient Chinese culture there.I think it's very meaningful to visit the West Lake.Tips:When you go to the West Lake, the boat tour is a must.Hangzhou is rainy,so you'd better take the clothes and an umbrella. If you need to take photos, take a camera with you.

Bai Causeway is a continuation of the Hubin Street northward and a delightful stroll out into West Lake. No cars, but biking and skating allowed. People obviously have a wonderful time, some old men are flying kites, children play and feed a duck or two. Small electric buses pick up wary tourists, I am not sure the cost.

This is a very popular place for the locals. It is a shady place with very shallow streams where kids can play inside the water. Come prepared wearing swimming gear as the waters are very inviting. I also like the fact that this path leads to famous Longjin green tea plantation so it's killing two birds with a stone.

I have visited Su Causeway for three times. The first visit didn't live up to my expecation, winter in Hangzhou is so cold, but when i came in june and august,it's so beautiful when the lake was glittering in the sun,and it was not so hot with trees casting shadow along the causeway. If you are tired, there are some pavilions on the way(but it's still a long way to go).But there are always too many people, especially in vacation, noisy people and colided crowd always drives man mad .So, choosing a nice day and avoiding holiday is very important for an enjoyable vist.

Smaller and less famous than Hangzhou's famous Westlake, Xiang Lake is a gorgeous place to relax without the crowds one typically finds at its more famous neighbor to the north. In addition to peaceful surroundings, Xiang Lake has a water park, ocean world, restaurants, hotels, sightseeing boats, an archeological museum and a gorgeous pottery gallery and studio built on the remnants of a very old and very big kiln.
