My daughter bought this ‘experience’ as a Christmas gift. Something I wanted to do but was a little hesitant as I had had no previous experience. I needn’t have worried. A small group of 5 being taught by Kelly who demonstrated every facet involved in making these gorgeous yummy delights. It was a lovely thing to do - not as hard as it may seem- and we made and filled (with reasonable success I might add) enough macarons to be able to try 5 different types each and even enough to take a box home too. Would thoroughly recommend this to others.

We offer a number of half day courses including Sourdough, Baguette, Croissant, Brioche & Gluten Free Breads. We will guide you through our hands-on courses which are dedicated to learning every stage of the artisan baking process, the easy way. No prior baking experience is necessary; just enthusiasm and a desire to make real bread. I will cut through all the theory and just show you an easy and fun way to make some classic breads for you to take home. All our courses give you the opportunity to blend your own flour selecting Wheat, Rye or Spelt organic grains using our beautiful 'Ko Mo' stone ground mill. See our website for more details.
My mother and I had an absolutely wonderful day out at Alan and Carol's lovely B&B, spending a half day learning the ins and outs of Artisan French Bread making etiquette. As a baking beginner myself, and also for my Mum who has a lot more experience, the course was pitched at a great level - Alan has time for all your questions and the techniques and recipes are accessible and fun. We made delicious croissants, french baguette and our own sourdough pizza bases (which we happily demolished for lunch :)) - all in a relaxed and instructive atmosphere. Would highly recommend to all!

We were bought this cooking experience by our daughter. Minh greeted us on arrival with coffees and a chat through the dishes we would be preparing in the purpose built commercial kitchen. Minh had all the fresh ingredients weighed and ready for us to make Thai curry paste, beef Thai red curry, prawn cakes and stir fried noodles with black soya sauce. Time flew by as we made our dishes and listened to Minh’s expert advice and tips. Minh has a purpose built kitchen with all the equipment we needed. My wife and I really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it highly for lovers of Thai food. Best of all we could enjoy the food we prepared in Minh’s garden with a choice of wine or beer. Minh gave us the recipes to take home to try with our friends and family. What an excellent gift and a lovely day!!

Fantastic day, in a well set up cooking school, making 3 types of pasta, lots of shapes and fillings, under the watchful eye of Steve the chef, and with Polly the making my mess disappear effortlessly. Finished with a delicious pasta lunch and a glass of wine. Plenty more leftovers boxed safely to eat at home. Particular thanks to Steve and Polly for the very enjoyable day.
