A gorgeous private course with scenic views.
This was one of the most exceptional experiences and dinners we have ever had! We were so impressed by the executive chef, Peter Menteer. Not just because of his incredible talent, but his tableside manner, humility and professionalism. I have had the good fortune to eat at some of the best restaurants in the world including a private dinner at the James Beard house in NYC prepared by James Beard award winners, and a personal experience with Daniel Boulud at Maison Boulud in Beijing. I also worked for Rachael Ray in NYC for a number of years, so I am no stranger to the food industry. I would put Chef Menteer's food amongst them all as some of the best I have ever had! If you have an opportunity to visit this exclusive club in Montana. Do yourself a favor and get there before someone recognizes this Chef's talent and steals him away!

The Bitterroot River offers the rafter or floater an enjoyable trip down one of the more scenic rivers in Montana. The valley is wide and lush, offering the floater excellent views into the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountains. We offer half and full day trips for both Fly-fishing and scenic adventures. Wildlife is abundant, we frequently see osprey, eagles, whitetail and mule deer and it is not unusual to see elk or moose. Come with us on a relaxing Bitterroot Rafting Adventure.

ABC acres is a Permaculture Farmstead in the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana, focusing on sustainable food production, healthy living systems, and regenerative ecological design. Our cattle, chickens, goats, turkeys, and pigs are out on open pasture, eating, resting, and living the way nature intended. Much like our livestock family, our vegetables, herbs, fruits, and nuts are grown with the same approach. It’s a mixture of annuals and perennials intertwined with pollinator species, companion plantings, and multi-structured food forests. It’s nature’s way…..a way of reducing disease, increasing harvest, and ensuring diversity for an overall healthy farm. In fact, doing things that mirror natural ecosystems is the focus of our operations. ABC acres offers Farm Stay Vacation Rentals, customized Farm Tours, Livestock Feedings, Self-Guided Farm Walks, and other on-farm activities complete with educational kiosks, Bitterroot River access, and an onsite Farm Shop.

After we paid our tickets, we all entered and sat to see about this house. There were a lot of people. They divided the tourists in half. We were lucky, we had the best guide, as she knew everything so well. She also answered all our questions. This house was really a mansion. There were 50 bedrooms. Will that be enough for you? There were also 15 bath tubs. Would that be enough? Everything was so beautiful! The beds, the gardens outside, the kitchen. Anything was a splendor. They showed pictures from the past in black and white and I took a new color photos from now. We had fun and we were amazed how huge this hoys is! A must see! Enjoy the pictures

Love visiting Como during any season. There's a great hiking loop that intersects a waterfall. You can enjoy the beach side (with hiker's cabin a bit farther up) or the boat dock side (we like to sling up hammocks over the water at the trail in the back of the parking lot).
