Good Robot Brewing Company is a craft microbrewery and taproom located in the eclectic North End of Halifax. We believe beer reflects the quality of its maker - honest, eccentric, and maybe even flawed - and that every good beer has a great story. Come start your next story with a tasting, brewery tour, or pint at our onsite taproom. All our beers are low-gluten or gluten-reduced.
LOVE this spot! I love how my hair blew in the wind and how the server offered me fried chicken as a dessert. Cute and original. Also they have a merch store which is awesome! Good place to go for beers with friends !!

This was our second time visiting Garrison and it was just as good as the first last year! The location right near the waterfront marketplace is a very big draw, but even more than that, they have a very interesting take on beer. We really love their sours! Their Pucker Up truly lives up to it's name and is like a berry cotton candy in a drink. So good to try in a flight. Their LemonDrop, which I don't remember tasting last year and could possibly be new, really packs a punch! It reminds me of the perfect light and less sweet spiked lemonade. Perfect for a warm day. We enjoy their Razz Berry Whest as well, which isn't sour, but actually has a sweet taste and isn't too overwhelming. Their Georgia Fuzzy Peach was our fav. Very flavorful, with a light taste of apricot as well as peach. It was not too overpowering. We could have drank a whole pint of it on the spot. Of course their Tallship is their signature beer and best seller. That one speaks for itself, and the last beer we tried was the Ziggy. It was a darker beer; dark amber in colour, but sweeter than we imagined. A very nice and refreshing beer. There is honestly something for everyone here. Good service, large seating area, and they even sell Kambucha here over in their extensive gift shop area. We brought home a beer glass this time so we can remember Garrison's ???? We will be back next time we visit.

First time visiting in over a year (Pandemic life). They've done renovations for increased seating which still provides the cozy and close feel. Connecting with friends we haven't seen in months, top scores! Service is great, they are pet friendly and the environment is inviting. Really looking forward to more time there this summer.

In 1820, Alexander Keith established his brewery in the heart of Halifax. Now, over 200 years later, we’re proud to welcome you back into our home on Lower Water Street, the Alexander Keith’s Nova Scotia Brewery. We invite you to come and visit us at our beautifully restored and renovated brewery, and to try our exciting new beers crafted by our brewmaster. Cheers to all things raised in Nova Scotia.
I did the tour years ago. It was my first brewery tour. Since then, I’ve done brewery tours all over North America. The problem is, this tour is so good that it sets an impossible standard. Even if you’re not a dedicated beer drinker, the tour is fun and interesting. The history of AK is so uniquely Nova Scotia its a great way for a tourist to experience our history and culture. AK is one of the major breweries in Nova Scotia, and Canada for that matter, but if you’re a craft beer snob, you’ll still enjoy yourself here.

2 Crows - only been open a year, but this small experimental brewery is awesome. They have a small bar, serving their own beers, and some invitation brews too. Simply presented, the beers have great taste, wild and wacky variety, and in a relaxed area right in the middle of the brewery itself! The brewery staff often man the bar, so you also get a great opportunity to talk to them about their creations, and learn a little about brewing too. Once you're here, you won't want to go home. But when you have to, they also sell cans, so you can take even more beer home with you!
Nine Locks Brewing Company in Dartmouth is one of the top craft breweries in Nova Scotia. Offering a wide range of award-winning beers, limited batch/seasonal brews and Vodka Sodas, Nine Locks Brewing Company is a favourite with craft beer lovers across the region. A retail store stocked with clothing and accessories compliment a full range of cold beer available in cans, growlers and crowlers. Stop by for a sample and find your new favourite beer. Cheers!
Serpent Brewing brews Belgian inspired ales in the heart of Spryfield, NS. Like our logo, brewing with Belgian ingredients is a harnessing of natures chaotic element with years of practice. We have a full service taproom for flights and pints, as well as growlers and bottles to go. We hope to see you soon!
