The oldest Botanical Garden in Haiti, famous for its French-creol style marriage garden, also displays herbs and medicinal plants and a growing number of native and endemic plants. A great place to take a guided tour and a location for your events. Entry fee per person is 100 HTG for kids, 150 HTG for regular tours, and 250 HTG for scientific tours

Wow! An exquisite natural interactive wonder. Bright aqua pools cascade into waterfalls of rejuvenation for mind, body, soul. Highlight is the rope/rappelling down a Boulder into the Bleu. You feel like Indiana Jones!

Difficult to get to, but entirely worth it! Two options, basically--either boat from Petit Goave or hiking in. I chose the boat, arranged through the Fort Royal Hotel. They include a picnic lunch--basically carried in and reheated there. However, there are restaurants on the beach and you could order food there--which is probably preferable. When I went it was a weekday and there were no other visitors. Some reasonable snorkeling around the rocky outcrops.

We signed up for the Amiga Island excursion during our port visit to Labadee, and it was a great choice. We never saw the beaches at Labadee but I'm guessing they were pretty crowded with 4,000 passengers getting off the ship. There were about 25 folks on our boat. It took about 25 minutes to get to the island, and we had to wade a bit to get onto the beach. There were chairs and a small bar and a couple hammocks, but most people spent time in the water, which was perfect temperature. We also walked around the island, which took about ten minutes. Overall it was a nice getaway from the cruise crowds, and worth the cost.
