Our second day during the Ha Giang loop was this amazing Ma Pi Leng pass, one of the most dangerous and beautiful pass of Vietnam, 3 nights and 4 days for the Loop was pretty good for us, just choose a good motorbike and let’s go ☺️

A ride from Đồng Văn to Meo Vạc on the northern rim of Hà Giang province offers the most wonderful view of an exotic karst landscape of steep limestone mountains. About halfway between the towns is the all but obligatory stop at Mã Pì Lèng, a Hmông village on a rocky slope with an amazing view of jagged, rocky peaks and a steep canyon with a narrow river running through it. There are other stunning viewpoints along the route, but this one is the best. There are a few drink stalls next to the handcraft shop on the road and a back door of the shop leads to a path a little downhill to another viewing pavilion. Sprawling on the slope, the village houses and gardens lie interspersed with dark boulders in the ground. It is typical of Hmông settlements, for they were late arrivals in Vietnam and, all the good farming land already occupied, were forced to make a living in the less favorable environments of the mountains. That they succeeded is their achievement.

What a gorgeous scooter ride from Ha Giang to see this amazing spot. It’s about 45 km from Ha Giang and well worth the trip.

Awesome view from the top of the monument. You can see China from there. Many steps to reach the top, but it is worth. ($25.000 vnd per person)

We dropped by this place by chance but found it a beautiful simple house with lots of heritage value. Highly recommend for those who are into architecture and aboriginal culture, or simply beautiful things.
