Ilsan lake park is a wonderful place to take a walk especially in the fall or winter. During the winter it is lit up at night. also fantastic cherry trees in the spring time. the lake is one of the largest man made lakes in Asia. it is located next to great shopping and restaurants ( on the right side of the Lake). Nearest station is Balsan station on the orange line. Coming from the airport or Seoul station take the ARA and transfer at Digital Media city. Ignore the official metro guide book which says to transfer at Seoul Station - that will double your travel time and take 90 minutes as opposed to 40 minutes. Balsan station is also the entry to Balsan mountain which is a nice short hike. at the top you can take a trail that links you to Pukansan national park trails as well.

One of Korea’s oldest and most prized art forms is ceramics and at Icheon World Ceramics Center (about an hour from Seoul) you can see more than 500 different creations. It is a great place to buy ceramics at heavily discounted prices and there are even classes teaching visitors how to make their own work of art.

The Wawoojongsa (Waujeongsa) temple complex is a really awesome day trip location. Folks come to see the giant golden Buddha head, but the real attractions are to be found as you walk up the hill and explore the numerous other temples and shrines hidden away amongst the trees and landscape features. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. We went on a Saturday morning and the place was not at all crowded. Very calm and relaxing. There is a significant elevation change as you walk up. So, folks with mobility issues might find it less appealing.

I went in Nov 2019 during my solo autumn trip.. it is about 1.5h away from Seoul and connected by the gyeonggi-jungang line. Yangsu station is nearest to Dumulmeori however I was visiting bukhangang railroad bridge before that so I alighted at Ungilsan station instead and took a slow leisurely walk over. Dumulmeori is iconic for beautiful scenery esp the place where 2 rivers meet behind the frame. Very good place to relax and take photos however it can be quite crowded. There was always a queue to take photos at the frame. I was there in autumn and the weather was perfect for walking. You can visit to Semiwon garden which is nearby too.

Awesome place for walks. Just went there last weekend and truly enjoyed walking there for hours. Lots of activities to do with an outdoor gym, badminton club, roller park, woods for walking, grave sights, bridges and more. I would definitely be visiting here every other day if I lived close, but very easily accessible from Seoul through the Bundang Metro line. I went on a rainy day and everything looked so lush and green. Met some kind locals, one especially who toured us around for a good bit walking through the park.
