These are no Niagra/Iguazu/Victoria Falls, but it's definately worth a visit! The park is well maintained and you can also go to another waterfall (Duopotang) and another scenic reserve called Tianxing Qiao. Especially the latter is very beautiful!
It is really worth your while to visit these three spots.
Some info about how we went there. visited the parks with a tour of from hotel. The transport to/in/from the park was 110RMB. Public transport and going with a bus in the park would be 20RMB cheaper. We chose a tour because it was a bit easier and not much more expensive.
Entrance price: during summer 180RMB. During winter 160RMB. Half price for Chinese students.
The park can be crowded with tourists. Especially on Chinese holidays and weekends.
Zero western people were in the park when we visited the place. We were the only ones. It's quite off the beaten track.
I recommend to visit this when you have time to stop in Anshun during your travels. You can combine it with the Longgong Caves.

Enjoyed the park apart from having my water bottle snatched from behind by a monkey. Good experience tho. The walk uphill was ok, wouldn't say the view is breath-taking. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my visit. There are people paid to feed monkeys. I think you can talk to them as they seems to know their behavior.

This place is like they tell in agent stories but it's real. Going to an old town of Beijing or Shanghai is nothing compared to this.
A good place to visit even during the national holiday, but reaching this place needs a local bus
When you come make sure to have time to see the show - the performance where local people wear local outfits and play local instruments. Have no words to describe it but life time experience
Note: Make sure to have accommodation and everything booked in advanced or it's going to be hard to plan that later. Accommodation will be sold out very fast.
This region is famous for their silver so local families are making different jewelry by hand so if you like silver definitely the place look for it.
Lastly part of the experience is all the small alleys, local restaurants and the view from high hotel room is unbelievable.
Bonus tip: next to the river you can rent this regions traditional outfit and walk around the town and take photos

This ancient Ming dynasty town was called the Far Away town, or the Hidden Town. It is indeed far away and nested in a deep valley north east of Kaili. Despite a very touristic side, the architecture remains stunning and some ancient courtyard homes can be visited.
At night, all the waterside houses are lit, as well as the antique bridge and central pagoda. Stunning.

The Zhijin cave is situated in the North of Guiyang City, around 2.5 hours drive on a national road (not highway) with heavy traffic. Another way to attain the place is to go from Anshun where you find the biggest water falls of China - Huang Guo Tree Waterfalls and Dragon Palace Cave (water cave where you need to take a boat for the visit inside). The road between Anshun and Zhijin is very narrow road with at times very steep slope - can be dangerous, especiaaly when your car is stuck between overloaded trucks tranporting chacoal. it is why we decided to go to Guiyang by a wider and better national road, instead of redoing the same dangerous road back to Anshun.
The cave is very spacious with typical Kasters landscape - huge bizarre stalactite in more than a dozen of halls and palaces. Some stones and rocks are snow white with fascinating shapes. it is absolutely worth of a visit, if you are less familiar with caves in Yugoslav which are whiter in terms of stone colors.
The place is relatively well managed, clean and tidy, and unlike many touristic places in China, not crowded. The whole journey lasts on average 2.5 hours. We arrived at the cave after lunch and finished the visit at 5 pm. There are no other places around the cave to visit, though the Mountains are beautiful. We originally booked a hotel at the county of Zhijin but cancelled the booking and instead went to the city of Guiyang where you are sure to find a decent hotel.
There are some steps to climb in the cave but you will not get bored. Smoking is banned in the cave and you cannot find food inside. You need to wait until a group of around 30 people gather and follow a guide to enter. We walked faster than most people of group, so virtually visited the cave on our own. it is a bit chilly in the cave with a temperature of 16 degrees but you do not feel it when you keep walking. I had visited a number of caves in Yunnan and Guizhou province but found this one the most beautiful and biggest.
The ticket costs 150 Yuan per person but free access for children and senior people (above 60 years old).

A pleasant enough trip but it was foggy at the top so no view to speak of. No ones fault.
The trip starts with a minibus ride up to the bottom of the gondola, then the transfer to the gondola. All of this would be not much fun on a busy day.
From the top of the gondola it is about a 30 to 40 minute climb up steps so take your time. Vendors at the bottom will tell you that gloves and hats and coats are all essential. They are not needed at all as long as you are reasonably well equipped so dont be suckered in.
If you have time to continue your hike beyond Mushroom Stone I expect you will be rewarded with nice views.
Best make an early start.

Already with some look and feel from Disney, however we still felt comfortable there. Not to crowded yet. But this will change with improved roads and railway connections. The atmosphere is good and friendly (and expensive). The show at night is professional (including english subtitles) and entertaining.

The trip from Kaili to Miao Village took about one hour through windy mountain road. RMB30 each on a shared taxi. Entrance fee is RMB120 and senior above 60 yrs old half price. This include the ride from entrance to village n a ride to the view platform of whole village. Miao Village had been opened to tourism in 2008 and thus very touristic. Lots of construction of new buildings going on. No hotels here. Only guest houses priced from RMB120-300+. We stayed at Ah Wang GH for RMB120. Very basic but clean and friendly n helpful owner. Night performance of Miao cultural dance and songs at 2030hr. Priced at RMB168, 128, n 98. Miao Village worth a two days visit.

This is am amazing attraction, from start to finish. I enjoyed the walk to the cave which borders a small river and ends in front of a very high waterfall. The entrance lake to access the caves is ... at the top!! (there is a lift). The ride is a real thrill. Loved it.
