The nice and service minded personal were going the little extra for the kids – as a couple of kids were outside the store they organised a “caramel throwing” competition – this was a great experience for the kids (the winder even received a caramel prize together with a “caramel king” diploma) ... while the adults brought a lot of lovely caramels in the store :o)

This site took us some time to find. Coming from the direction of Gudhjem there is sign for a picnic area combined with a sign VANDFALL. It's right before you reach the lowest part of the Dondalen valley in the road. That's the place to be. It's a ten minute walk to the waterfall, it's not signposted , just keep walking strait on. The waterfall and the woods are amazing. Nice and tranquil. We visited in June and it was not very crowded.
