Our coffee tour gives an opportunity to to visit a coffee plantation and learn about the complete process from bean to cup. Our coffee tour gives you an oppertunity to spend time interacting directly with a Guatemalan coffee farmer. In our coffee cupping and brewing workshop, our coffee expert will first guide you through a practice of catacion (cupping), explaining how coffee quality is evaluated by professionals. Testing a variety of DLG coffees you will learn how to identify aromas and flavors with the help of the coffee taster’s flavor wheel.

Our experiences consist of visiting local, non-touristic towns with activities such as worry-doll making, chicken bus tours, culinary tours, cultural and historic walking tours, coffee and chocolate tours, and volunteering for a day at the schools of the nonprofit. We also offer national tours to Tikal, Iximche, Lake Atitlán, and much more. Niños de Guatemala Tours is a social enterprise donating 100% of profits back to the education of over 500 children in Guatemala who could otherwise not go to school.

Learn how to prepare traditional recipes that are unique to Guatemala, and come away with all the skills you need to prepare them in your own kitchen. Our classes start at 9am. with a tour in the local Market, where together will purchase our ingredients, buying organic vegies from local people productors so in that way We are supporting their projects and giving them opportunities too.

Come experience the best organic farm on Lake Atitlan on our Monday Farm Tours! Nestled in the undiscovered village of Tzununa, visitors will experience Permaculture farming and Mayan culture with all five senses. Learn about two fully functioning, profitable Permaculture farms. The activity begins with an interactive tour of our partners Granja Tzi'kin and continues up the road to also tour Atitlan Organics. On both farms you will learn about Permaculture and see how relationships between humans, plants, animals, and the earth develop and function to create eco-systems. Meet our animals: depending on the season we may be home to chickens, pigs, and/or goats. Sample fresh fruit from our food forest, and if you're interested in starting your own garden pick out some plants from our nursery. Following the farm tour there is an optional visit to nearby waterfall, and then a delicious farm fresh vegetarian lunch at the farm-to-table restaurant in the neighboring Bambu Guest House.

We offer a unique coffee tour. First a guide will walk you through coffee fields. All coffee is shade grown on small plots and handpicked. You will see how coffee is grown and in season witness harvesting. We then show you how coffee is being processed and roasted at our artesian plant and coffee roast lab. Add ons to the tour including coffee tasting, a chocolate tour etc are available.
