I spent a wonderful November day with Eve doing the William Tell hike. As a relative newcomer to Switzerland, Eve's knowledge and enthusiasm for her adopted country was infectious. In addition to the spectacular scenery and delicious local picnic lunch, she was a wealth of knowledge about the country and outdoor activities. The schedule was easy and we weren't rushed. We had lots of sunshine and finishing the boat trip at sunset and in the dark was very pretty. What a wonderful and memorable day in the beautiful outdoors.

Visited in 2008 and it was great. Went in 2019 and hardly recognise the inside due to Bond world exhibition. I am a big OHMSS fan ,hence why i visited in 2008 but walking round now is hardly recognisable inside apart from staircase and some parts of the restaurant. This is my personal opinion. If you have never visited before then you will not know the difference, It will still be worth a visit. I shall not return.

Excellent service. Here amazing help and support. Many thanks to Swiss Epic Tours. Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled with two six year olds and lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator this was one of the nicest places we stayed in the four weeks

We went on a private tour with Chris from Typically Swiss Tours in the first month that we moved to Zurich. We are a family of four with tween-aged children, we don’t drive and have very little lay of the land. Chris was very enthusiastic, helpful and flexible to accommodate all of these factors and designed a custom tour for us that delighted, informed and made for an unforgettable day. We drove to the Bernese Oberland region for a day of sightseeing before heading to Luzern to indulge in some artisanal chocolate. Breathtaking vistas and a minor sugar high were expected, but we got to experience all of this and so much more thanks to Chris’s attention to detail - with him taking the time to understand our expectations, likes and dislikes that resulted in a thoughtful itinerary that was rewarding for the whole family. In fact we moved the date a couple of times because Chris was determined that we should get the best views and experience possible. We had a sense of what to expect from the day but the small detours are what made it such a memorable experience. This saw us overlooking the milky mineralized waters of Aareschlucht (Aare gorge), a minor literary detour to see where the fictional Sherlock Holmes met his demise, lunch at a historical hotel surrounded by a dazzling teal lake, a peek at town-life and some of the trades that have sustained them for generations, a whip around the fabled ruins of Duke Gessler of William Tell fame, and finishing at the marvellous Aeschbach chocolatier, where the staff were informative and friendly and the chocolate was simply divine. We highly recommend Typically Swiss Tours. We gained a lot of knowledge and know-how on how to navigate our new life in Switzerland, and benefited from local insight to pair with the history of the land. We drove in comfort, saw far more of the region than we could have imagined in one day, and really enjoyed Chris’s company. This is a must-do for all newcomers and anyone on holiday who wants to make the most of their time in Switzerland.

During a short stay in Zurich we took a two hour city tour with headphone commentary (due to the virus there we no tour guides available). For us, at two hours the tour was just about the right length and the commentary was interesting and informative with a narrative that extended to both the city and national relevance. A word about the driver - he was friendly and just about the best bus/ coach driver I have ever experienced. He navigated the often narrow streets and turnings superbly and was courteous to other drivers and pedestrians. Whilst we thought this was quite an expensive tour, (most things in Zurich are quite expensive), we did very much enjoy it and would certainly recommend it.....
