Who were those 5 enthusiastic tyrolean trumpeters, piano accordion & tuba players who entertained a ship load of visitors from Avalon river cruise Wednesday 17/12/19 their rendition of We wish you a Merry Christmas was amazing ???? wish I’d filmed them - it was a surprise treat. Thanks guys ????

I visited Greinburg Castle on an after-hours evening tour. I was pleasantly surprised at everything about this wonderful place, from the history to the furnishings to the architecture. If you are a Victoria and Albert fan, you will be familiar with some of the portraits and more recent history (1823-present) of the Castle. My surprise and awe came from two rooms - 1) a medieval room (oldest part of the castle) with amazing architectural ceilings and 2) a grotto room covered in pebbles from the Danube from the Renaissance time period. The second room was unlike anything I’ve seen in my travels, so I greatly appreciated its uniqueness. I highly recommend this Castle - and the small town of Grein is charming.
