If you consider to go to Ilulissat, you should take your time to go Disko Island. We took a boat (Disko Line is the company) from Ilulissat to Godhavn. It is worth going there. You will see tons of Ice bergs on the trip, and there is a high chance that you will se whales as well. Disko Island itself is a volcanic Island (the youngest in Greenland), has wonderful mountains. Some of the nature is breathtaking. Higly recommended!

This massive and fast-moving glacier travels more that 100 feet per day, dropping huge icebergs into its narrow coastal inlets.
I spent some days Ilulissat. The icebergs are just beautiful to see, I ll never forgot this impressions. Also if you can see that the global warming is effecting this area. I was here in November. The snow arrives this region normally in September.

World of Greenland is a Greenlandic company with deep roots in Ilulissat tourism. We are one of the few operators that are open all year. We have a large selection of exciting excursions in the Disco Bay area and we own Glacier Lodge Eqi, Ilimanaq Lodge, Igloo Lodge and Ilulissat Hostel. Our excursion catalog contains, among other Icefiord sightseeing, whale watching, helicopter flights and cultural walks and hikes of more challenging character. Our lodges are founded on sustainable tourism, where we use local labor and green energy. Our store in Ilulissat serves as information center for tourists, and includes the sale of souvenirs and various other products for tourists and locals. World of Greenland is a commercial company that annually reinvests profits in new initiatives that help to market Greenland as a sustainable and exciting travel destination. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Ilulissat!
This is the safest option and they have the best systems for online reservations. WOG is owned by one of the biggest players in Greenland's aviation and tourism so if you're worried, don't. I've gotten refunds nearly instantaneously for activities that had to be canceled for weather or conditions on the water. They have one of the best options for helicopter sightseeing. Air Zafari is the other. I had a great experience doing this my first time to Greenland in 2016 and I couldn't recommend this more. It is not light enough outside in Ilulissat to do this in December but check with them. I've done everything from the boat trips to the guided hikes to the northern lights with these guys so I highly recommend them. Their shop is actually quite good too for things like muskox.

Our experienced staff welcomes you to Kangerlussuaq. Wherever you want to travel in Greenland, your trip will almost always lead you to Kangerlussuaq/Sondre Stromfjord for a shorter or longer period of time. Here you can take part in excursions which are offered nowhere else in Greenland. Kangerlussuaq was an American air base during World War 2. Apart from the interesting American influence on the area, Kangerlussuaq is the place in Greenland where you are closest to the magnificent ice cap and home to the musk oxen. Albatros Arctic Circle offers you a wide range of day excursions starting from relaxing Tundra and Wildlife tour, where you have an opportunity to explore stunning wildlife and nature around Kangerlussuaq, and leading to more challenging camps, which allows to experience the splendour of the Greenland ice cap and the incredible fishing in the area!
