Greeneville is a town in, and the county seat of Greene County, Tennessee, United States. The population as of the 2010 census was 15,062. The town was named in honor of Revolutionary War hero Nathanael Greene. It is the only town with this spelling in the United States, although there are numerous U.S. towns named Greenville. The town was the capital of the short-lived State of Franklin in the 18th-century history of the Tennessee region.

The National Park Service does an outstanding job of operating and maintaining the Andrew Johnson life story in this great facility. Utilizing a multi-media approach, they present the 17fh presidents story from the early years through the presidency, to his death. It’s interesting, historical and well-worth visiting. Happy trails.

Beautiful retail space, well organized, clean and rotating stock. Lots of renovation in a well maintained historic downtown building. This is NOT a dusty old flea market filled with yard sale junk. Amazing variety for all kinds of collectors. Especially wonderful for people into Americana. Great if you just want to spend a day browsing, great if you're looking for a gift, great if you're looking for something rare and specific. In a downtown with very few options for passing the time, this is a real gem. Worth driving to visit. Very nice place with very nice people. I've noticed lots of individual vendors hosting frequent sales, and they are often willing to negotiate a better price, particularly if you're paying cash.

It's very easy to find the grave, you can't miss it. The grave itself is beautiful, and the view is wonderful. The parking is extremely limited.

For a nominal cost ($5/person; 10 and under are free), you can wander through the 40 cars from a variety of ages. All are in beautiful condition. A genial host gave us a thorough orientation. It was a rainy day and we were the only visitors at the time. Some cars have a history behind them, and others are just interesting examples of a bygone age.

You will be treated to a wonderful tour by folks who have extensive local history in their blood. You will see plenty of exhibits that have been especially collected for this mansion. It's lovely and well worth a visit.

The official library of the 17th U.S. president.
When you visit Greeneville, be sure you include this spot. The exhibits are enjoyable. The maps provided by the town do not lead you here so it is hard to find

Non-profit organization in Greeneville Tennessee that offers a venue covering a wide verity from Actors Guild, meetings weddings and live music.
The historical theater has been restored! Excellent place to see plays, classic movies, and bands. We've also attended some dances there. Comfy seats too. Can't wait for the haunted theater in a few weeks. Check this place out. See all of the events in their Facebook page.

This is one of the better pick-yourself orchards. They have many kinds of berries and tree fruits (available of course during the appropriate seasons) and the whole area is kept up very neatly by the owners.
You can also simply buy the fruit that they've already picked, but what's the fun in that?
They have a Facebook page which is helpful to find out what's available to pick.
Highly recommended.

3 floor FREE museum about the history of Greene County---there's a bit about Andrew Johnson and Davy Crockett of course, as well as information about the Great Depression in the area, clothing/cars through the ages and lots more.
Definitely recommend checking it out--right across the street from the Andrew Johnson homestead.

Pioneer Park is on the campus of Tusculum College and it shows.
The field is the newest and nicest in the Appalachian League, but everything is very overpriced in food and souvenirs and parking?
if school is in session, forget about it.
The park is nice and if you are a ballpark junkie, give it a try,but if not, maybe it goes on the backburner.
