Popped into this used bookstore and was happy to have found it! It was behind some shops on Main Street and worth the visit. They have a great collection of older/used books and the prices are decent. What I loved about the store was they observed a strict COVID protocol. You can make an appointment to shop or (like we did) happen upon a free time. They allow small groups in on a walk-in basis if there is no one else in the store. Everyone must hand sanitizer once entered and you have a limit of 1/2 hour browsing time. I felt extremely safe here and did not feel rushed at all. The staff member (the owner’s sister) was quite helpful and traded book stories with me. A great visit!

The Thoreau Society Shop at Walden Pond is located at 915 Walden Street, Concord, MA across the street from Walden Pond, where now-famous author Henry David Thoreau lived for two years, two months, and two days in a cabin he built and where he supported himself by manual labor. This is the place to shop for products related to Henry David Thoreau and Walden Pond. We carry a variety of merchandise, including books, cards, clothing, mementos, cold beverages and snacks.

A wonderful find in Lowell. On the 4th floor you will find a variety of eclectic little shops by local, small business owners. I stopped in to Vinyl Destination and bought two records and went to Coffee & Cotton (see my review for them). On Sundays, they have live music on the 4th floor that they pipe through the entire building. I love that they support local musicians and have different ones each week! On the 5th floor they have a farmers' market on Sundays. There's plenty of parking around and on Sundays parking is free. If you want to support small businesses in Lowell and have a fantastic shopping and hanging out experience, come to Mill No. 5. I saw there is also the Luna Movie Theater here. Will have to go there sometime.

The sweets are magical, delightful, imaginative...and scrumptious!!! I felt like a child might, walking thru doors and entering truly candy land! There are stars, initials, trees, kittens, puppies, ---even baby sneakers and business cards--made of chocolate! The woman waiting on me was so proud to tell me about Mrs. Nelson and the Maples....though not related, she spoke with such warmth and admiration. In this magical land there are gift boxed candy. There is an array of fudge. something...or a lot of somethings for one and all!
