Contemporary Six is a leading independent art gallery located in the heart of Manchester, opposite the beautiful Town Hall. Established in 2010, the gallery is known for offering a warm and friendly welcome to art enthusiasts, collectors, and new explorers to the city. Visit today and enjoy original works of quality and substance by emerging and internationally acclaimed artists.
The gallery is located in the heart of Manchester near the Town Hall, and while viewing the works on show, Waterhouse’s noble edifice is visible from the front window. Alex, the owner, has a refreshing attitude to art, and is always forthcoming and friendly with his extensive knowledge. There are fantastic original artworks on show — particularly the paintings, of which there is a variety of styles and subjects. I also visited three preview nights for the solo exhibitions of Chris Cyprus, Anne Aspinall, and Matthew Thompson, which I would highly recommend. They are fascinating, entertaining, and it is always lovely to meet the artist. Definitely make the visit if you love quality art, or if you are in the city.

The quirky and innovative gallery, design studio and shop is located on the 2nd floor of the world renowned Afflecks situated in the heart of the city's vibrant Northern Quarter. This is a collective of Manchester's most iconic artists also known as the NQ Collective. The gallery showcases work by Paintsayer, Pheonix phusion, Ben Sedman, Jswillis, Slscott, Cjtaylord and many more Manchester Creatives.
What an absolutely fantastic and quirky gallery in an amazing shopping institute - this gallery just shouts out Manchester! I have purchased some truly amazing pieces from here including unique hand made and personalised greeting cards and Manchester themed artwork that always proves popular with anyone that visits my home. It's not all about Manchester though, there are some great pieces of artwork by local artists and creators some of which take commissions. If you are looking for something unique for your home or for a gift then I can't recommend this shop enough. The owner and staff working in the shop are absolutely lovely and always seem happy to talk and tell you about the products and the artists.

I love visiting the manchester art gallery when I have a few hours spare in manchester, the changing exhibitions always bring something new and each visit you tend to pick up on things you didnt already. The cafe is lovely, although a little loud at times, Highly recommend.
