The Musical Museum tells the changing story of how people have captured and listened to music over the last four centuries. From tiny music boxes to the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ in our concert hall, the collection includes an impressive array of instruments and inventions, including reproducing pianos, orchestrions, self-playing violins, pipe organs, gramophones & synthesizers. Find out how music was recorded and reproduced, see and hear them in action. Located near Kew Bridge, Brentford, we're open on Thurday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays from 10:30am to 4:30pm. Tours with live demonstrations take place at 11am, 1pm & 3pm. Concession discounts and reduced prices for children and families are available. The Museum is open on any day for groups consisting of 20 people or more - please contact us for further details.
We had a couple of hours to spare before seeing a show at the local arts centre and stumbled across this Musical Museum by chance. The museum features many self-playing pianos, organs and music boxes from the last century and we were fortunate enough to be given a tour by the charismatic Roy who demonstrated many of the instruments on display. Roy was a fantastic tour guide, with many interesting stories and a natural ability to engage our older children (ages 8 and 6), even allowing them to operate some of the instruments which they were thrilled at. He really made the museum and instruments come alive for us and it was a very memorable experience. Highly recommended.

The only original Battle of Britain RAF Fighter Group Operations Room open to the public. The Operations Room, in reality a series of rooms on 2 levels some 60 feet (18m) underground, is reached via 76 steps. The plotting room with its large map table, squadron display boards, balloon and weather states, is exactly how it was when Winston Churchill visited on 15 September 1940

Really fun weekend! We camped in our own tents, Staff are really friendly they come by every now and then to check up on you. The activity pass is great value for money however it would have been nice if more activities were open some of the closed activities didn’t seem to make sense (Covid) and it would have been ideal if the end time was a little longer even just 1700 considering activities are suspended for lunch (45 mins) I would definitely return we were a party of 4 adults and a 6 year old, everyone had tremendous fun! The evening entertainment for the children is a bonus too! On the last night they had arts and crafts, marshmallow toasting, a disco and then a movie. It’s a secure environment so the children are afforded some independence and can roam through the site as they wish. There’s an amazing adventure playground with lots of climbing towards the back of the site which keeps them busy once the activities are over. Toilet and shower facilities are decent, spotted the cleaner mid morning on the second day. I can’t fault the place really none of us wanted to go home. Looking forward to returning with the rest of the family. I didn’t get all of the names but Callum was our host he was lovely, the climbing team namely the gentleman and the long haired tall young lady (her partner works on the paddle boards), the kayak team especially the young man (his partner works on the high ropes) so Lewis, friendly and helpful, Thank you all, looking forward to our return with and without the children!!

Spitfire restoration business offering Spitfire Flight Experiences and Spitfire Tours. Based at RAF Biggin Hill we have one of the biggest collection of airworthy Spitfires in the world.
As soon as we arrived we were met by Richard of the ground crew. I was flying in the Spitfire, but my wife, Mother, Son & Grandson came to watch. Richard asked if my family would like to go up in what was referred to as ‘the van’ ( an 8 seater small plane). For the experience this was reasonably priced for the 4 of them. Then it was my turn, after the briefing I was kitted out and put into the Spitfire, what can I say other than amazing, incredible. My pilot Anna Walker briefed me on what we were about to do, then we were off. We flew up to meet my family in the smaller plane, my Grandson was over the moon as he could clearly see Grandad waving like a demented person in the elegant plane right next to him, we then left them and flew out over the channel, I cannot wax lyrical enough about the flight, the fantastic ground crew, the incredible Anna, another off the bucket list with huge recommendations to give it a go. Thank you so much ‘Fly a Spitfire Experience’

Locked in a room, you have 60 minutes to find hidden objects, solve puzzles and discover the secrets of the Curse of Old Maid Milly. Suitable for fun with the family, friends or workmates - for teams of 2-5 players.
5 of us all adults had a great time... super team building exercise even though we didn’t manage to escape the room in an hour. Not too disappointed as it was the first experience of one for 4 of us and apparently the lovely host said we were very close to completing it. Would highly recommend ... enjoyed it more than we thought we would!

The aim is for Teams of 3-5 people to get out from a locked room in one hour, solving puzzles, using common sense and teamwork. WWII theme where the team is stationed at RAF Biggin Hill Operations Room. They have been captured by the enemy and locked in a room. They need to decipher the code to escape the room and stop the enemy from landing their planes.
We have visited once before and decided to return for the Christmas Themed escape room. My daughter and 5 of her friends- maximum in a room was 6. They were all aged 13 and I was advised that a paying adult had to be present in the room with them at all times and a surcharge of £10 to be paid. This I paid the first time and I was in the room - I would say the escape room they choose was a little too hard for them but someone was always on hand to give a clue! We were also given the option to upgrade to a 'party' for £30 and a member of the team would be in the room and this would also include drinks, party bag and a medal. As it was Christmas we upgraded and this made it all the more fun for the girls. The staff were great- greeted us in their costumes and were very good with the girls. The girls had a great time and 'escaped' on time and they loved the chance to dress up at the end for a picture. From all the way to booking to arriving the process was really easy- I emailed to ask a query and my email was responded to speedily, Great place - our only negative is that my daughter would like a birthday party here but maximum 6 guests, I understand as the rooms are small and any more would spoil the experience - credit to them for not trying to fit in more people. We will look again to see if there is a different theme as they would go back. One last thing make sure you bring the directions on how to get in as a little out of the way.
