The Nest is a state of the art indoor climbing centre, with a workspace, cafe, gym, and fitness studio all under one roof. Popular not only for its excellent fitness benefits such as being a full body workout and improving flexibility and endurance, climbing is also known to be a great stress reliever with meditative effects.

Great venue for very young children to adults who want to participate in all things Rugby. We have numerous teams for girls, boys, youths and adults. Every age and gender are catered for. We have an excellent community program where we are teaching rugby skills in numerous schools in our and surrounding boroughs. We also cater for touch and tag Rugby for all ages and genders at our club. E

Always putting young people first. A youth centre that caters for many different sporting or social needs.
My son had his first session yesterday. He’s so happy, great coaching staff, friendly reception staff and a great session of football training. Lovely atmosphere and can’t waot for next week.

A 36-metre heated outdoor pool operated by the YMCA. Changing facilities are a bit cramped I found considering how many people are likely to use the place - they are, however, not mixed. At peak times it can be 'one in, one out' to the pool. Outdoor pools have a very different dynamic to the indoor - you are far more inclined - I find - to sit around afterwards, like you were at the beach, and people do, rather than just shuffle off and get changed. There is a separate kiddies pool and it is quite possible to do uninterrupted lengths in the main pool while amusing yourself working out how many lengths of a 36m pool you need to do for the equivalent in a 25m or 50m. The balcony cafe is ok but needs a refurbishment I feel. Access by public transport is not brilliant - a bus route goes past it but it can be a bit arcane to get to. There are bike racks (as there should be). The water is nice and warm and the water level is close to the pool edge, which is reassuring. A very pleasant outdoor pool.
