There are many entrances to this beautiful place and is very popular with dog walkers. There are car parks at the Rectory Lane entrance and Kimberly Drive entrance It was a place my parents took me to when I was young to catch sticklebacks and where I took my children. As with every place like this you must always be aware of others around you and be considerate to other people.

Kew is London's largest UNESCO World Heritage site offering unique landscapes, vistas and iconic architecture from every stage of the Gardens' history. Our collection of living plants is the largest and most diverse in the world, growing out in the landscape and within our glasshouses and nurseries.
Lovely day at Kew Gardens well worth a visit, the Palm House is amazing beautiful so is the Waterlily House the plants are stunning, there is also an exhibition by Chihuly in the Palm House. We also saw the Palace and the kitchen there is also an ice house. Food is a bit pricey but very good

I have now seen five shows at The Broadway and I find it a fantastic little theatre. I have lived and worked around Barking now for two decades, and last year took my first trip to The Broadway theatre, I didn't know what took me so long to go, especially as the tickets are very reasonably priced. On every trip I have found that the staff/ volunteers are extra friendly and always happy to assist. The lobby/bar is very modern and cozy with well priced drinks and snacks. The stage itself is a modest affair, but is perfect for a community theatre like the Broadway. The word community is central to explaining The Broadway, as I feel there is a sense of community pride in and around the theatre you don't find anywhere else in Barking & Dagenham. To summarize the tickets are cheap, the staff are fantastic, the hosting is top notch and I always leave with a smile on my face.

Restored almost to working condition Windmill.Souvenirs and refreshments available. For Open Days and further information please see our website.Open on Mills Day in May and Open House/City London in September see web site for details, and on the 1st Sunday of the month from June to October, all Open Days 12-00- 17-00pm with last tour at 4pm ,tours last about a hour.
Do go on one of their open days. It is well worth a visit. Had a really good tour with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide - it took 90 minutes. You have an introduction outside then the tour inside starts at the top floor and you work your way down. Stairs are steep and narrow but doable for most people. Some great views from the top floor. Throughout the mill are meccano working models of different aspects of the mill. Outside is a small information centre and cafe. I really think they should charge for the tours!

The Carara marble statues of the Oceanides or Sea Nymphs of Greek mythology amidst the fountains are a MUST whenever taking a walk along the riverside at Twickenham. There is an information board nearby giving a detailed history of this outstanding creation. The extensive York House Gardens are hidden behind hedges and are a tranquil place to relax. In the summer the Richmond Shakespeare Society give excellent outdoor performances here with the “Naked Ladies” as a dramatic backdrop. A local craft ale, named “Naked Ladies” is delicious and can be found on tap in The Fox pub in Church Street, and occasionally the bottled beer is available in the local shops.
