Thaxted Park Golf Club is located in the Southern suburb of Woodcroft only 20km from Adelaide's CBD. The course layout takes advantage of the rolling hills, offering views to the sea. With many holes that could be labelled as signature, our key hole is the 6th-par 5 where the green has been modelled on the iconic 17th Road Hole at St Andrews. Thaxted Park Golf Club offers a course of Santa Anna irrigated fairways and bent greens that are a delight to play. Throughout the years we have maintained and enhanced our reputation as a friendly, affordable and sociable club where members can relax in company overlooking a course that is a credit to the dedicated staff, committees and members alike. Thaxted Park Golf Club was officially opened in 1964. Built by the foundation members, the course had only seen minor alterations up until 2015. Over the last two years, the front nine has undergone a redevelopment under Crafter and Mogford.

Championship 18-hole golf course at par 73 offers a unique combination of sand dunes and fir trees on Australia's southern coast.
It was a privilege to be invited to play this championship course which will be the venue for the Women’s Australian Open from 13th Feb 2020. Preparations were well underway to raise the stands and TV towers. Fairways & Greens are in excellent condition, we really enjoyed the variety of challenges this course offers, from long carries, hidden approaches and undulating greens. The railway line running through the course provides an ‘old time’ feel to this links course. Members and all staff (Tony Christie, Pro) made us feel welcome. There is a well stocked pro shop and the clubhouse facilities, practise area and locker rooms maintained to high standards. We had lunch with our friends in the clubhouse which had a wide range of meals to suit all needs and an excellent Riesling to toast the day!

Glenelg Golf Club offers a true world class challenge, recognised as one of Australia’s premier golfing facilities. Distinct course complexity, strategic design elements and impeccable turf quality provide a memorable challenge for all players.Glenelg Golf Club offers outstanding membership privileges and opportunities, including a world class golf course, modern clubhouse with extensive bar and bistro facilities, and a challenging golf program for players of all levels.
I had heard that a dinner on Thursday night at the Glenelg Golf Club was a treat, so i organised a few of my mates to have a boys night out. Being mid week it is casual and with this being a members club, you notice the added community vibe of the members and they were very welcoming. We had a sensational table on the balcony where the views over the golf course with the city in the background were just magnificent. I had been to an event at the golf cub earlier in the year and the food had been excellent. Tonight was no different so there is a talented chef working out the back doing a great job. So my recommendation is to take an advantage of their wonderful facility and enjoy an evening out here and don't be concerned that it is a members golf club, the bistro staff and members will be pleased to welcome you.
