As a family we holiday in Norfolk every spring. We love visiting the Yarmouth Stadium for greyhound racing, and last year had a delicious dinner in the main restaurant watching the dogs. We were booked in for dinner and racing again this year, and had paid a deposit. Sadly due to the coronavirus outbreak the evening had to be cancelled. I wanted to write a review to say how impressed we were that Yarmouth Stadium called us to explain the situation and refund us our money without any prompting. Emma was polite, courteous and very efficient on the phone. We look forward to visiting again next year.

I am a regular visitor to the 8.00am service on Sunday and also visit to other events during the year concerts, art exhibtions and on other occasions. A nice Cafe serves Tea, Coffee and soft drinks is opened during the week. This Church is a very large space more similar to a Cathedral and on occasions they host a lunchtime organ recitals that is very enjoyable time to rest and collect ones thoughts.

Thurne Mill was built in 1820 by the millwrights England & Co of Ludham, Norfolk.Originally when the mill was built it would have had common canvas sails and a scoopwheel but in 1885 the mill was raised (hained) to accommodate the new turbine pump and the patent sails.

Situated on the Golden Mile The New Arc Cinema provides you with Five brand new screens. Amazing luxurious leather armchairs in every screen, with generous legroom! Sit back and relax as you watch amazing movies on Sony 4K Digital Projection and Dolby Digital 7.1 Surround Sound! Screens 1 to 4 are accessible to all. For the love of film!
Don't be put off by the older exteriors of this building it's a tale of two sides. When you get inside there's a modern foyer with drinks, kids sweets and very friendly and helpful staff. Clean toilets on this level and also near screen 5. All screens have great sounds, big screens and very comfortable recliner seats as standard. Visited on multiple occasions this week and not been disappointed. Very safe procedures in place during covid19. Give it a try young and old or both you won't be disappointed. They're showing films only released prior to lockdown both for very young and older folks, but very fairly have reduced prices to reflect this. Give a go, we did and made are holidays entertainment all the better????????

This is run by the local authority and English Heritage, there are good boards explaining what you are seeing and it is clear how underfloor heating worked. It's free and interesting

Reaching almost fifty metres high, this column is found within an industrial estate a few minutes walk from Great Yarmouth seafront. There is a lot of Horatio Nelson related history in Norfolk (Burnham Thorpe being his birthplace) and this monument is listed as a Grade I structure. The tower is also known as Britannia Monument and the Norfolk Naval Pillar. At its top, it is embossed with a stone Britannia figurine. All in all, it is really a quite impressive monument that has stood since 1817.

The largest mid 19th century brick round headed arch is situated at the southern end of Wellington Road. The Wellington Arch is to the north of the Kimberley Terrace and was built in 1846 by John Brown. It is a brick round headed arch with capitals and flat pilasters on each side supporting the arch with a cornice and parapet above. This was the north entrance to the planned Victoria estate.
