Founded in 2012 by Nick Watson, this microbrewery is based at the heart of the Chiltern Hills and has a real focus on the natural ingredients that go into making fine real ales. This includes very British malted barley farmed on the Icknield series through to contemporary hops sourced from around the world. Whether you enjoy traditional British real ales like our Anniversary Ale or more contemporary and fruitier real ales such as Starry Nights, you’ll find something to suit your taste. Come and 'Taste The Chilterns'. Visit the brewery shop 7 days a week and see straight into the brewery hall, where all our ales are hand made. At our Tasting Station, enjoy an ale flight of 3 Malt Ales with tasting notes, a guided tasting with one of our knowledgeable team or on Sundays enjoy a brewer-led tour around the brewery with the Brewer. Tasting is a personal experience and we encourage you to taste our ales in whatever format works for you, whether it's 3 half pints or pints. It's entirely up to you. A range of options are available.
Spent a lovely couple of hours sampling 5 beers and learning all about the brewery and how the beer is brewed. All the beers sampled were excellent. I have been a customer for a few years now but until now hadn't done the tour. The head brewer is a really entertaining and knowledgeable bloke who has pitched this tour on the right level. His passion for his art are clear to see. This passion has created one of best breweries in the country producing award winning beers. The tour finished off with a pint of your choice in the lovely tasting bar and a complimentary pint glass to take home. Oh and a 10% discount in the shop. You really need to go on this tour!

Visit the Roald Dahl Museum, a great little family attraction in the heart of Roald Dahl country. Get hands-on in the three galleries, packed with activities perfect for 6 to 12 year olds and their families. Find out about Roald Dahl's school pranks, peek into the author's original Writing Hut, and discover how Roald Dahl's real-life adventures inspired his stories. The Museum puts your imagination centre-stage to help you and your family create your own swashboggling stories - just like Roald Dahl did. While you're here why not go on one of our self-guided trails and meander through the village lanes, woods and fields that Roald Dahl walked in, and see the sights that inspired him to write. A visit wouldn't be complete without a visit to our on-site Cafe. Pop in for delicious lunches and fabulous cakes. During term-time we serve afternoon tea from 2pm to 4pm, Tuesday to Sunday (booking essential). Our Cafe is open to all, not just Museum visitors.
The Roald Dahl Museum is absolutely fabulous for both children and adults. We were lucky enough to be there for two days and did pay for the extras, although they were not outrageous price-wise. Our nine year old twins had the chance to meet and attend a workshop by a real author and illustrator, Laura Ellen Anderson, which was very exciting and inspiring for them. The museum itself was full of facts and information and although there was a lot of writing to absorb, there were also many other interactive things for the children to engage with if their focus wained a little. The second day, we had pre-booked their 'Scoff and Stroll', which is a guided walk in the footsteps of the great man himself, whilst hearing exerts from Dahl's book 'My Year' and being told about his life and inspiration, as well as some passages from his books "Danny Champion of the World" and "Fantastic Mr. Fox". Our guide Michael was friendly and engaging throughout and the staff in general were eager to please. When we returned for tea and cakes, we were literally blown away by the magnificent spread! There were sandwiches, cakes and scones accompanied by a lovely pot of tea with delicate cups to match and tea refills and take home boxes for those who couldn't manage it all (there was loads!). Although it sounds expensive for tea and cakes, £12 per head was really good value for money, as the walk was educational and the tea was plentiful. We would really recommend a visit, but do try and pre-book the activities online, as they do go quick.

The farm originated from humble beginnings when the current owners, Roger and Jane, purchased the derelict site in 1982. Roger is the fourth generation of his family to farm, originally as pig farmers, he proceeded to develop a fruit and vegetable farm. From selling home-grown produce at the gate, the farm has developed into an extensive and multiple award-winning farm shop. The shop's ethos is to sell high quality, home-grown and locally-sourced produce where possible. The farm also has a thriving plant nursery open all year and a Pick Your Own which opens during the Summer months. The farm has steadily grown over the years to become one of Buckinghamshire's largest Christmas tree growers, selling a range of varieties and sizes year on year. The farm is now home to The Wild Strawberry Café, which 'popped up' in 2014 in a Mongolian Yurt! The café prides itself on serving seasonal, home-grown, rustic food as well as world class loose-leaf teas and freshly ground artisan coffees.
This is always my first port of call when the asparagus season starts, otherwise there is always a comprehensive range of seasonal vegetable.
