Mission Arts is a vibrant community arts centre located in Mission Beach, QLD bringing a variety of creative opportunities and experiences to the residents and visitors of the Cassowary Coast. The centre was opened in August 2010 and consists of a gallery, gallery shop, open air workshop space, dedicated pottery shed, and a combined administrative/catering/storage area. We are the largest completely self-sustaining community arts organisation in the Far North and operate as a completely volunteer led and volunteer run organisation. We host approximately 12 exhibition openings a year, which are free and open to the public and facilitate more than 100 workshops a year, covering a range of areas such as basketry, mosaic and glass work, pottery, creative writing, drawing and painting. Our facility is available for hire and we welcome conversations with interested artists, individuals and groups wishing to further explore their connection to the arts.

Indulge your taste buds in a creative chocolate making class. The Art of Chocolate classes are designed with everyone in mind. Whether you are a beginner or a professional foodie you will love learning to create fine hand-made chocolate delicacies, like chocolate truffles, moulded chocolates, chocolate decorations for cakes & desserts and for the more adventurous ... chocolate sculptures! Your teacher is Maria Graf, Master Pastry Chef and Artisan Chocolatier. Maria loves to share her passion for all things chocolate and under her expert guidance you will quickly learn the basic techniques and soon be designing and making your own luxury chocolates. Classes are offered at venues in Townsville. Team up with friends, family or colleagues, in a small group setting for a creative and delicious chocolate day!

Binna is a local Kuku Yalanji man from Mossman and he is passionate about sharing his culture, dreamtime stories and visual interpretations with visitors from all over the world. Join an Aboriginal Art Workshop where you will learn about the Kuku Yalanji history and culture whilst Binna shows you how to create your own art piece (that you can take home with you) using intricate details and design .

Bowen Yoga Room offers Yoga Asana, Pranayama (Breathing practices), Mudra and Mantra inside the beautiful old wooden floored, air-conditioned CWA Hall in Bowen. Everybody welcome. Oaks Kitchen and Garden is Southeast Asian Cooking School, set in the lush natural surroundings of Oak Beach, Queensland, we've developed a working garden to grow the vast array of organic produce that we use, ranging from Thai eggplant to kaffir lime, we use what is available and seasonal. ​ Classes are held by ex Longrain, Easy Tiger chef, Ben Wallace. Cooking Classes are held from Tuesday to Saturday, there is a different style of class everyday.
